it sounds really silly to say i've cut down to a bag of skittles a day.
but i legit used to eat a bag and probably 20 jolly ranchers a day at work. plus if somebody bought me like cake or something i'd eat that too.
i just hit a wall by about 4pm at work if i havent had something sugary.

veggie stir fry is the key yall
onions, peppers, whatever choice of meat you need for that day, and whatever spices you need to switch up the flavor
my mind is so fucked at the gym lately--i can barely do a few lifts before being ready to go out of sheer boredom. I think its a me issue though, emotionally, mentally, idk. My motivation is shot.

I started to lose motivation and switched from weight lifting to body weight training, best decision in terms of keeping me going and also my joint strength improved and lingering injuries I had from weights started to go away. I don't have to go to the gym anymore, just take my weight vest and I can do my workouts pretty much anywhere.
I gotta get better at hypertrophy. I'm doing the PHAT routine right now, but I feel like I either don't get enough intensity with my weight max or if I go low, I don't feel enough weight and can't get enough intensity from the motion.
also wondering if I got my first case of "old man" injury, oddly enough when I plant and explode in basketball or put pressure on the pinky toe area of either foot, there's been some pain there. Mostly been healing by playing like a bum and being a bit flat footed on the days I do play, and giving myself more time off between games. Haven't given it a huge period of rest so its not completely healed yet, but its slow going, but its really weird that the injuries seemed to occur on either side of two different feet. I guess it's possible that there was some compensation going on that I wasn't aware of until it got bad on both sides, but yea..
very nice

Gonna have to start loading up some actual carbs before I work out. I've gotten to the point where my body parts can keep going but I just have no energy to really push myself.
By Lunatic Go To PostThose love handles are the last thing to go. It's where men store fat.In my case, they start going after I start going under 15%. Otherwise, do cryolipolysis (with a doctor, not at a cheap place). I have, it works.

with foot stuff, rest* and rolling a lacrosse ball under my foot are the only solutions i've found.
i also took most calf exercises out because they're pretty arch dependent. or maybe im not doing them right. i just get on the stairmaster and toe the steps for part of it. cardio and calves together
*i cut back leg day from 3/week to 1/week whenever im playing soccer. my feet couldnt take a soccer match, pickup bball and 3 leg days in a week.

Had to go a week without doing legs. First day back yesterday and my quads are killing me today. It's good to know that growth but my work days not sitting at a desk, so it gets kind of exhausting.
Started avoiding sweets and friedfoods today. Hope that's enough to get my body right. 3 years in and I'm still learning so many basics just becausethere's too much info out there

Man I look good
If I just stopped shoving Reeces cups and French fries down my throat I'd be cooking

nice! what's your next goal?
i think i need to set a specific goal like that. been feeling really unmotivated to hit the weights lately.
my friends have been keeping me accountable by making me train them but when its just me by myself, i'd rather lay in bed and watch netflix or something

Next goal is to drop 15 pounds of body fat. But my next 'lifting' goal is probably 300 pound deadlift. I'm at 235 right now and could probably go up 10
Pushups hit different when you've got a 75 pound weight vest, 50 pound dummbell in your backpack and you're 242 pounds.
My arms & chest look better now than they did when I was lifting weights.

The 8 hrs of sleep a day will be the hardest part of it for me. I get about 5 or 6 on a good day. Maybe this will wear me tf out tho

Looking for a good weight vest.
Got some recs, mang?
By Adam Go To PostLooking for a good weight vest.

I have the V-force 75 pound one, it's a little expensive but it's really well made. You can get the same vest without the 25lb slip on secondary vest if you don't need the extra weight. I'll take a picture of it a little later, but I highly recommend it.
Just make sure you don't get a black weight vest, it looks like you have a bomb on your or you're wearing body armor. Get a bright color, most of the time I wear mine under a hoodie because I'm paranoid someone will call the cops on me if they see me with it outside.
Fuck me I see why it said 4-6 quality meals. I’m exhausted. Gotten too comfortable in my own workouts and general lack of motivation

dove into week 2. no way im hitting everyday this week. hit all 4 days last week plus a soccer match and i feel like i packed about 5 years on my knees instantly. based on what i saw from last year there should be a progress test after this week. im constantly hungry off these workouts too.
also officially done w/ preworkout. stomach just cant handle it anymore and i dont really get much of a boost off of it even after taking a break for a few weeks. usually just grab a Monster or Reign if im feeling flat before a workout now, or just force myself into it and eventually i just get so into it i forget that im flat.
soccer plus this leg thing will kill ya dude, think you need to delay the soccer if you are doing this everyday 😂😂
yeah i was thinking it over this morning and w/ us playing Thursday/Monday/Thursday i'm gonna have to push this until December when the season ends. hate to do it because i was just getting over my mental hurdle of despising squats.
Haven't even worked biceps or upper body in 3 days, and I woke up with some elbow pain on my left side this morning. Guessing it's the cold weather not agreeing with my joints.
Second week of being sick, last week throaf infection, then I went out after I got better, made out with someone and now I'm sick again with bronchitis.
I can see the gains just going away. Screw winter.

By data Go To PostMy knees and back have never felt better since I started working outSame. Crossfit is saving my posture, and relieving so much pressure off my knee joints.
... while my shoulders are in a world of hurt. :)
Officially deadlifting heavy enough (only 245) that I might need to get wrist straps soon so it stops hurting my hands
Been running on some of my off days. Really need to nail my stretches pre run, because by hammies are fucked
By JesalR Go To PostBeen running on some of my off days. Really need to nail my stretches pre run, because by hammies are fuckedJust remember, more important to do some dynamic stretching to get the blood pumping than actually hold a stretch for a longer time, that should come after your run ie cool down.
Stamina and pace coming back after having to sit out cardio for months due to the fucked knee. Glad I can run again, even if I need to strap the knee for it.
Aye its a struggle, my ankle keeps on fucking up after a long run like today (20k) but water exercises helps me going each week.

I don't miss my Achilles bursitis. Felt like i had broken glass in my ankles lol. 20k run man wish i could actually do that sort of distance anymore.

Work has gone so haywire over the last month that I've been to the gym maybe 5x in 6 weeks
And now to add onto it I have this constant neck/trap pain that I just woke up w/ randomly a week go.
So fit life 2020 is off to a grand start.

Back in the gym after a five year hiatus, I'm generally quite fit so its more just muscle mass/definition I want to rebuild.
Used to be pretty big after my stint inside (and carried on going to the gym upon release) so figure I kinda know what I need to do to get to where I wanna be.
However recover time is definitely not what it once was, so body has been in pieces since first two sessions. Barely been able to sleep muscles are so sore but I'm getting back to normality on day three of recovery.
