I made the mistake of starting all this health nonsense before weighing myself. Last week I weighed myself and I was 217. This week, 215. 2 pounds doesn't mean much to me. I wonder what I've lost so far. My pants are kinda hanging off of me again.
Added 10 lbs to my incline bench and 2.5 to my regular bench.
Added that super ultra healthy bread to my diet. The 5g of fiber, 1g sugar kind. One slice per day. Make a sammich with one slice of bread, folded over, brehs!

I pretty much burnt all the skin off my big toe so haven't been to the gym for over a week. Going mad
did a pretty drastic diet for a month and exercised quite a lot yet i weigh the same.
it's not making me stay motivated to continue :/

hmm. i always skip breakfast and only eat medium portions of low carb veggies for lunch (mix of cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, zucchini, spinach). certainly not a big plate. skip dinner every other day and if not, more of the same veggies. no snacks.
45min of medium cycling 3 tims a week. oh, only water with maybe 1-2 0.33dl Coke Zero can a week, i never drink sugared soda.
i kept my weight about the same for years (10-15kg over), didn't really gain any yet ate carbs like a mad man.
Don't starve yourself. Change your intake to reduce carbs and fat and to increase protein.
Again, I highly recommend MyFitnessPal or similar trackers. If you accurately track you'll lose weight over time at a healthy rate.

i'm not starving. i feel quite well. if i'm hungry i eat more of those veggies. i never ate breakfast before. i only lust after chocolate and bread but otherwise i'm fine. i put my veggies in there and i'm lower than the daily limit. i try to get enough of what i need from the veggies, wanted to become vegetarian for a while now.
Have you consulted a doctor about trying to lose weight? They can probably offer insight that we can't.
My brother had problems losing weight recently in spite of doing everything right and was found to have low testosterone levels.

Also: do you ever do weight training?
Might seem intuitively counterproductive, but building muscle will help you burn more fat and keep weight off in the long run. You might not drop weight immediately but your body composition will change.

Trainer was a no-show so he's fired.
I need to know my body fat % so that I can have a reasonable target. I know that I have muscle mass. Need to figure out what's a good weight for me.

Just when I was gonna kill it this week I get sick the next two days after a good Tuesday workout and couldn’t work out yesterday or today. Oh well.

I'm trying to lose muscles not gain any though.

I used to be a pretty damn good track and field athlete growing up and i still have these huge thighs/ass and biceps, they somehow never went away. I don't like how they look on me (i'm on the smaller side.) I look bullish.
Even when i was the right weight clothes didn't fit me at all.

Sounds like an ideal rest period. At least you've not missed almost 2 weeks of workouts because you burnt off your big toe
My trainer basically had me do this
but with a barbell. and fuck that. my back is still hurting 3 days later

215 lbs.
30.5% body fat.
I now know my goal. I have read losing 1% per month is healthy. I have a ways to go, then.

Going back to the gym after like 3 weeks. Might have to fess up and actually start paying for this membership.
lol, sy.
Canned meats are going to give me a heart attack with all this sodium, but how else am I going to consume more protein than carbs without having to cook?

And lol I thought I could convince myself to wake up at 5 to go to the gym. Then I went to bed at 3.

I don't like how they look on me (i'm on the smaller side.) I look bullish.Honestly man (sorry for the late reply btw): as long as you're healthy, I wouldn't worry so much about your body type. Healthy fit people come in all kinds of shapes.

My family tends to have thick legs and butts, I mean I could get all worked up about it but changing it would require more effort than it's worth imo. I've been working out a lot and I've lost 15+ pounds along with gaining muscle mass, but guess what? I still have kind of a big butt. *shrugs*
Everyone has areas they're self-conscious about, but there is something to be said for body positivity even if it's cliched. And there are gazillions of clothing brands out there. I bet you can find something that will fit you off the rack, it might just take some looking.
That said, as long as you don't do a bunch of curls your biceps will surely lose mass over time I'd think.
I been good on staying active but I let my diet get shitty again
not letting it happen again. I don't ever want to be that size again.

Diet update:
I passed a stone and spent a cumulative five days in the hospital. I refuse to look at my bill or answer calls from the hospital because of shame from being there in the first place. They tried to coerce me into taking out an organ and I said no.
My diet was basically cram 1500 calories five minutes before work and use ensure to get through the day. Needless to say that didn't work and I damn near blacked out after a shift.
Now my diet consists of rice, potatoes, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Oh and assorted fruit as a source of simple sugar.
planet fitness bought out my gym that had free weights and a squat rack for 10 dollars a month--fucking sell outs
went into my gym after not being there for a week and saw the purple shit everywhere, they informed me it was going to be a planet fitness now and I was like: "so uh...yall still got free weights?"
They were like "we don't support that atmosphere in planet fitness" or some bullshit. Went downstairs and was like SMH, saw all the beautiful free weight racks replaced with machines.
I guess it's fine for my cutting phase but gone quick the swiftness when its time for real strength training again.

To be fair they haven't gotten done putting all their own shit in there yet but I think they'll leave the dumbbells up to a certain weight and have fixed barbells up to like 110.
+5-10 lbs on all my lifts. Hooray.
Next day at the gym will be my first REAL leg day in like 2 years. 💀💀💀

at the PF I go to the fixed barbells go up to like 75 lbs i think.
yeah dont do that shit fam. at least not on that machine. i wouldn't do it at all but there's a specific equipment that'll hit you about thigh high to do that on.

With cutting out the carbs and heavy sugars, I stay hungry.
Not fun.
Tonight is pizza night. Trying to decide if I want to partake or not.

Worst part about cutting out carbs is your recovery will be a lot worse, especially since you’re older.
Bench press went like shit this week. Same weight as last week and did it without any problem then but this week I couldn't even get one full set right. So fucking frustrating. Maybe my body telling me to rest a bit.

My knees feel horrible after basketball these days. Especially the left one.
I don't think my body has gotten used to being able to jump higher, run faster, etc since I really started to focus on leg day
Either that or it's just the beginning of me becoming washed. Pops said it'd hit around 25 or 26

Where is your pain, specifically? I had huge issues in my 20s with my IT band after playing basketball. I'm talking about I couldn't walk up and down stairs without crying into a bucket. I woke up the next day? Totally fine.
Squatting and strengthening the muscles around my knees helped alleviate all of that, as did foam rolling. But that all varies person to person.
