Just crushed my bench workout after being stalled on it for a long while. I used a barbell with a different grip today so I had to ask if all the barbells were the same weight and the gym says they are. IDK, I slept like shit, too. I guess I'll find out next week when I move the weight up.

Today I finished my last set at 205 x 6. Felt fine, and from my last three workouts I've gone up FAST. My biggest issue is breathing believe it or not. I'm gonna have to acclimate a bit and work on conditioning in general before I die twitching in a squat rack.
Honestly, I need to be warming up at much higher weight anyways. Today I was explaining to a friend how my dead lifts don't ever feel right. Once he found out I was pulling 135 he pretty much told me that those don't even count considering what else I'm lifting.
Gonna try 185 next time and see how it goes. In two weeks I should be able to hit 225 at least 8 times on squats. I'm more concerned about how I'm planting my feet really. Going below parallel was why I dropped back down to fix my form.

Sounds similar to what I did and where I'm at. I think I could do 205x10 today. On deadlifts it's crucial to do a 135 high reps warmup and then a 185x3 or something to get acclimated to the weight.
I've also been adding a couple of super sets at my starting set weight 1min apart after I'm done with my last set. You'd be surprised how those fly once you went up a higher weight.

I'm having hip issues particularly in my right hip while squattin. It's just sore af and exhibits itself when going heavy which throws off my balance. Do plenty of stretching for that are and always have. I'm wondering if it's because I sleep on my right side or something.

Oh yea sounds like your psoas is acting up. Look up psoas stretches, it'll also help with your lower back.

Nearly nobody knows that there's this giant muscle group that connects your lower back to the top of your legs, but as you rightly pointed out it can fuck up so much shit because people have no idea it's connected to your legs and runs through the front of your hips.

While we're speaking psoas, my own psoas issues are cropping up and it's way too tight. My flexibility sucks right now especially while trying to deadlift. I was considering a belt but I think that'd just mask the issues.
Actually, reading up on weight lifting belts and the consensus seems to only use them if you're doing 75% of 1RM big lifts like squats or deadlifts... which I do. Does anyone have experience? Should I get one or should I focus on adding accessory lifts to improve my core in more minute ways?

I think I'm going to move to going to the gym after work instead of early in the morning. My gyms small but its too busy around the time I go and I'll have it basically to myself after I get off work (12-1am ish)
