I never liked Russell WIlson. He's still an NC State QB no matter how you cut it.
And has anyone played Madden this year? How is it?

ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini reports the Redskins plan to start Kirk Cousins in Week 1 against the Dolphins.sorry Griff
Russini made her bones as a D.C. reporter, so she is as plugged into the team as any national reporter. ESPN's Ed Werder reported GM Scot McCloughan is "determined to change team culture" and could decide to move on from Robert Griffin III. The mystifying situation surrounding Griffin's concussion may have given McCloughan a prime opportunity to cut ties. Cousins is the owner of a career 59-percent completion rate and has an 18:19 TD-to-INT ratio across 14 NFL appearances.

Fuck the Redskins. Sorry ass team racist name and everything. RGIII needs to leave ASAP he is not even close to being the problem there. Like he said he just works there.
Tangentially related but it's weird at this point to see the Niners basically a bastion of DV assholes and the Raiders doing stuff like this.

Now for some good and little-known news. The field of domestic violence is not forgotten on one side of the San Francisco Bay, and neither is the need to do something about it.
In an untold story (and without receiving central league direction), one NFL team’s management strategized, stepped up, stood out, stepped forward and continues to lead today. One team invested in women through action, not reactive policies and Band-Aids. It is one of our unsung and most widely criticized local teams — the Oakland Raiders. While news about NFL teams focuses on the team’s performance on the field, it is precisely the Raiders’ quiet and humble investment in women and girls off the field that scores one huge win for me, and should do so for all of us.
Be reminded that there are no Raiders charged with domestic abuse. That may or may not be the case on the other side of the bay.
Let’s take a look at the internal state of affairs within the Raiders’ leadership. Of executive and senior vice presidents, 43 percent are women (50 percent are of color), as compared with the league average of 15 percent. In looking at senior administrators, 43 percent are female (33 percent of color), compared with a league average of 19 percent. They just brought on a female announcer for preseason telecasts, Beth Mowins. Amy Trask was the Raiders CEO (and the first female CEO in the NFL) until she left in May 2013 to become an NFL analyst for CBS. It seems the Raiders’ internal house — perhaps the most important aspect of investing in women — is in order.
Raiders wide receiver Rod Streater worked for the KPIX domestic violence telethon in June. The team partners with Girls Inc., both financially and personally, by hosting empowerment programs, complete with revered players and female executives serving as role models for the girls. They work with former Raider Fred Biletnikoff and his wife, Angela, who suffered the tragic loss of their daughter Tracy to domestic violence in 1999. The Biletnikoff Foundation does not just throw dollars at a cause or pose for player public relations photo opportunities. It offers housing and support for survivors ages 14 to 17 while they are in recovery from violence.
the entire trade for him was fugly... the Rams tried wheeling and dealing and came away with nothing and the Skins gave up 4 picks to have their coach destroy RGIII his rookie year. Horrible
it's funny because the last time something like this happened the redskins were also involved and everybody lost then too... they traded Ricky Williams and got 8 picks and basically came away with Champ Bailey
By DY_nasty Go To PostThose trade the house type deals in the NFL always feel kinda suss
the team trading the house almost always loses but oddly of the 3 times I can remember only the Cowboys came up when getting the house

Their GM did his job really. That team had holes everywhere to fill.
Its odd though. One guy shouldn't be that big of a deal in football.

We can definitely acknowledge there are. there was one in that very same draft. Andrew Luck has been worth three first round picks since he's been in the league without a doubt.
hell, before shanahan murdered Griffin by proxy ineptitude in the latter's rookie season, the Redskins look like they won that trade.

We may have used all those picks on DTs, sure, but its still how I feel.

to me it really depends where you are in the draft and what other talent you already have on the roster.... but 3 years of no 1st is a steep price for any 1 player. Luck would be one of the few players I might consider doing it for tho...
id still make the RGIII trade again--all you have to do is look at the Browns to see how quick three first round picks can evaporate--happens all the time in the league.
RGIII was completely worth it--and our organization ruined him. Discredited him, allowed him to sustain an injury that shouldn't have happened, etc.

then he wasn't worth it. He might have been worth it for a team that would have treated him better... but he wasn't worth it for the Skins
That NY Times article on Sony's Concussion film
The enriching film-editing artistry of the legal mind. Who motherfuckin knew
He confirmed that Sony lawyers deleted some material from the film, but he declined to elaborate on the cuts beyond saying that they did so to make the story “better and richer and fairer.”

Andrew Luck & RG3 in the first round, and Russell Wilson in the third of that same draft.
And while Luck has been the man, Russell actually got his ring first, and now people are having discussions as to whether or not RG3 would be willing to backup WILSON in Seattle if he were to be cut.
Like... no one thought we would be at this point. NO ONE

well that showdown in Washington with RGIII vs Russ was suppose to be the start of rookie QBs rivalry not the end.
RGIII is a whole different beast of a bust. he's in his own category, because it's not because he lacked for talent. The saga that is his career is probably the most interesting display of fuckery across four years a single player has ever gone through.
Leaf was trash from the jump, RGIII was one of the better QBs in the league his first year.

it would be like the bulls having Rose's MVP year occur in his rookie year and then watching the ACL tear slowly happen but do nothing to stop it, then encourage him to become a pass first point guard to save his health, and when that doesn't work, bench him for dj augustin
