So, Bobby Wagner agreed to a 4-year, $43 million extension. Hawks haven't announced it yet, but he is now the game's highest paid middle linebacker.

Attended Ravens practice last night...
Flacco going to Flacco during OTA. Just going through the motions at this point. Schaub is a competent backup but won't play a single minute on this current pit stop.
Running back situation is not very good. The rookie, Buck Allen, out of USC didn't look any better/worse than our second year RB, Taliaferro, who was placed on IR last December because of a bum foot. If Forsett, at 30 years old, goes down or is unable to replicate his 2014 form, this Marc Trestman offense is going to struggle.
With Torrey Smith now gone, the remaining WRs who'll compete as Flacco's second option next to 36 year old Steve Smith Sr., had 56 combined catches last season and 4 TDs. Someone (Aiken or Brown) is going to have to step up during and win the job that is basically being handed to 1st round pick Breshad Perriman who is currently out nursing a knee injury with no return date in sight.
I think our defense is going to have to carry the offense into the endzone most weeks, but they'll need to stay healthy first. There's depth at certain positions, but any long term injuries will equal losses.

I think Aiken is taking that job. Forsett is a hard read as a fantasy RB to me because the system that he styled in is now gone, but replaced by a pretty decent one for RBs.

Hey Texans Sl&ent, with Foster out a couple games should we pick up Ray Rice? At least work him out maybe?
I'm thinking of going to catch the Dolphins when they come west to play the Chargers. I'm a lifelong Dolphins fan, but have yet to attend a game in person. I figure that I can get a cheap flight out to San Diego and that it should be an exciting game.
about that time to style on the nfc south again. u heaux, rdy?

Nah, tho. The Dolphins are awesome and you are wrongly placing condolences at my feet which I will not accept. Save it for the miserable Jets fans.
At this point I predict that the Niners will have less wins than the Patriots have losses. But chin up, Niners fans, that's at least two wins.

DY, you worried about Cam getting in a fight in training camp? I can't remember that last time I saw someone dare to take down such a highly paid team leader. Probably nothing, but pretty crazy to see someone with a pair of balls so large as to go after the QB.
i'm not at all comfortable with Gruden as the HC of this team
I'm fully aware that Griffin might be a bust, but I don't feel comfortable at all about the massive regression the entire team took last year under Gruden. To me, an exposed RGIII looks like year 2: 16 td's, 12 ints fresh off a rushed ACL return.
You can say that we don't have any good QB's--but most teams find a way to make a bad QB look good at some point. Gruden had three QB's looking like straight up dog shit, Pierre Garcon looked like dog shit, Alfred looked like dog shit...even trent williams looked some kind of ass at times
so either every single guy on the team went straight dog shit at the same time or the dude who came in wasn't as good as the guys who left
i also hate the way the dude came in--you've got no resume at all and were specifically brought in to get RGIII right and you're coming in abandoning our pistol concepts, giving up on read option, not doing anything at all to cater the offense towards the QB, not being able to do one single thing to protect ANY QB that was out there...
disaster hire

Niners run the north.
I still don't get why the tried to immediately turn Griffin into a stationary passer. I get that he can't be running all the time and Griff's work habits have been lacking even since he started thinking he was God's gift to an offense, but Gruden tried to undercut him multiple times with Kirk fucking Cousins.
come on.

Should just have McCoy start week 1 and tell Griffin to ice up...
if it was just RGIII that'd be fine--but he was largely unavailable last year
Kirk is a pure pocket passer just like he desires--guy got rekt so bad that Gruden hasn't said his name since, went straight to the third string spot behind a guy in McCoy who by all rights should be an analyst for college gameday right now.
Main thing is--you've got a franchise that hasn't been able to get a single thing done for a while now and your solution is a guy who's claim to fame is seeing some of the better years of the king vanilla in Andy Dalton--what the fuck could the ceiling possibly be there? We just brought in a defensive coordinator who's resume is about as bad as can be imagined, and our offensive coordinator is like 27.
The move should have been moneybags to Art Briles and money bags to the best defensive coordinator money could buy off the market.

not until he gets arrested
Geno Smith is out until October with a broken jaw after being "sucker punched" by sixth round pick, LB IK Enemkpali.
Enemkpali has been released and Geno is headed to the operating table to repair the damage. Yo must have gotten fucking clocked....
Anyway, the Tweets from this CBS piece are gold.
Marshall is hilarious....
But the fact that this kid was arrested in college for assault on a police officer AND the Jets still drafted him is the sundae on top of the sundae for this story.

By n8 Go To Postladsupdate mehow are the ravens looking
We're looking mid-table, Europa league, Nate. Saints if you will.
On paper we are probably a top four side. Defense should be easily in the top ten, maybe even top five if they play to their ability and stay healthy. But there's too much new and not enough quality on the offense to really challenge the top teams in the AFC. We'll really need the other clubs in our division to struggle to make the playoffs I'm afraid.
Hopefully I'm wrong and Playoff Flacco will emerge in September, but I'm not optimistic. I've yet to see our first round pick, WR Breshad Perriman, do anything because he's been injured since camp started.
Does this look like a 21 year old?
I'm really hopeful for this season. All good things I'm hearing surrounding the Dolphins. Dare I dream. Division champs?
This is the first year that the Dolphins have me excited in a while. We're the only team not imploding in the division, and we're due. Last season's meltdown to slide out of the playoffs better have pissed this team off to the point where we don't blow those winnable games. I don't know about division winners, but I think we'll get into the playoffs.
We're acting like the Jets had a shot at a decent season before GENO SMITH went down. This doesn't help, but come on...
