By Laboured Go To PostI know if I change my font size in FF settings it does change the font on some websites like ResetEra but not on here.Works for me on Safari Mobile. Will check later on desktop.
Finally got a chance to use the desktop version and is C L E A N
When using the List Feed version you can't click on any usernames without entering a thread.
Is there going to be top/bottom of the page buttons? Also missing the mark all threads as read

Just double check and you are right, for some reason I thought there was.
Another feature missing from the List Feed is you're not able to subscribe to a thread without entering it.
For mobile wouldn't it make sense for subscriptions to appear at the top of the regular List Feed? Considering that the side bar with the favorites is not visible like in the desktop version.

By reilo Go To PostOnly you brother. Can you take a video? Feels like your keyboard is doing something. It happened to me in Chrome for Android using the next domain.
By RAThasReturned Go To PostIt happened to me in Chrome for Android using the next domain. Will have to test on my QA Android lying around somewhere or load up an emulator. Not sure!
Several fixes just went live!
@Kibner You can now share your themes!
- Bunch of hover state and responsive fixes
- You can now identify and mark a thread as a favorite from everywhere it's listed
- @JesalR Favorites are now up to 8 like before

By Laboured Go To PostHey reilo would it be a pain to have a text scaling option? I'm on 4K and already upscaled by 150% through windows, and zoomed in to 170% on FF and the text is still quite small.
4k resolution with font-scaling set to 200% and the entire website scales perfectly for me both on Chrome and Firefox.
I assume you're on Windows?
Also, here are the restrictions on
private
threads:It prevents logged out users, new users (registered less than 90 days ago AND/OR have less than 10 posts) from accessing threads marked private.

Couple nits:
* We can't edit quotes anymore, which was pretty key to me making Horse look dumb
* If a thread is in the Promoted Threads section, you now have to scroll pretty far to see it. I.e. F1 thread only pops when you scroll down to 75% of the home page. Would it work to not remove promoted threads from the main thread list?
* Any way to have favourite threads visible outside of the menu on mobile?
* CMD + Enter doesn't work to submit the editor anymore, easy enough to get used to, just throwing me a little

Now we just need some of those new users. I would suggest trying to post on purple gaf but you'd probably get banned

pasting custom theme doesn't work. i can't write anything in that field.
also why not limit the character limit in the hexcode field to 6 characters.
a really cool feature would be a color picker.

Good stuff! Except that we have post counts now which we specifically didn't want for performance reasons :( The current version is still the fastest loading site I regularly use.
Big fan of the notifications. Not a big fan of the floating reply box, gives a very small reading window.
Edit: oh you can just minimize it.

Dope idea.

but now i have to make sure my avatar pops with both the circle and the rounded square people.
Can’t clear toasts. This is a problem on mobile because it covers up the navigation menu. Easiest way to reproduce is marking all notifications as read on the notifications screen.
Reilo, drop whatever you're tinkering with and bring back the Slaent favicon. How will I know which tab to click on otherwise.
Is there a quick and easy way to identify the colour codes of the default / preset themes? I just want to change a couple.
By Laboured Go To PostAlso I'm now pretty convinced we need to go to the default Twitter embeds.Maybe it could be a toggle.

Except that we have post counts now which we specifically didn't want for performance reasons :( The current version is still the fastest loading site I regularly use.You underestimate your original implementation! I haven't seen any performance degradation but I also haven't run the numbers.
For example, this page has several 30,000 post count threads: https://next.slaent.com/s/sports/page/6
Also, I never wanted user post counts lol

@reilo That's it, thanks. Unless I'm missing the obvious, we can't currently change the quote box background colour, right?
By Zabojnik Go To Post@reilo That's it, thanks. Unless I'm missing the obvious, we can't currently change the quote box background colour, right?I think it’s “Foreground color”. it affects other things, too, though.

I see. Will play around with the editor some more later. Would be nice, if it could be a separate category. I think it makes discerning what's quote and what isn't much easier.

By Zabojnik Go To PostI see. Will play around with the editor later. Would be nice, if it could be a separate category. I think it makes discerning what's quote and what isn't much easier. The quote text itself is "Alt. Text color". I have my quote text a different color than my reply text. However, this attribute also affects other text on the page, like the copyright information and site links at the bottom of the navigation bar.
Nice. I'd prefer to be able to change the quote box background color individually tho.
I think it also helps break up the page as a whole visually, which can otherwise end up looking like a giant wall of text when there are no images or other embedds on it.

By reilo Go To PostBe careful what you ask forNah this is defo better.
Sigh. The normal Twitter embed is making the page jump as you scroll especially on mobile.
Are you SURE you want it?
Are you SURE you want it?
@Laboured The standard Twitter embeds suck. I hate you. Makes the pages jumpy af because of how it renders. I might just provide a setting to override it so you can use the default if you wish, but I'm gonna revert it back to the other one.
I could build a quick Twitter embed expando that'll clip the full embeds to a specific height to be increased by user interaction?
