Looking forward to the presentation and following technical discussions ... but sadly PS5 Pro's mere existence doesn't change anything for me.
I have basically reached gaming nirvana. My PC setup is such, both in terms of hardware and playing comfort, that only one thing counts: great games I can't play anywhere else (for a really long time at least, or ever).
Unless Sony can convince me said games are coming, I'll be content watching other people enjoy whatever benefits the Professional brings.

The standalone will definitely drop once the pro is available but I'm guessing the trade in deal will be 350-400 off the purchase of a Pro. Standalone will probably drop to 300/250.

OG ps5 with the disc is indeed a rare commodity. If you want to sell, Now is the time before the market is flooded with those looking to do trade ins for the pro.
i donated my ps4 and ps4pro to an asylum seeker home with 2 controllers and fifa.
might do this again with the ps5 when i upgrade.

If I still had my thicc model PS5, I wouldn’t be interested. Since I don’t though, I can’t wait for the Pro.

Hard to get too excited but if this gen is going to go another 4 years or so and they show something that looks like an improvement and there is some commitment to get older games updated I will consider it. Ideally Sony will show off something today that looks cool and now just rattle off specs tech details

PS4 Pro fun facts… in the US, PS4 Pro accounted for 13% of total lifetime PS4 units, and about 15% of dollars. Total PS4 unit volume trend did not change significantly when PS4 Pro released, but average price went up. Succeeded at driving incremental sales to the super enthusiast (not mass) base
