Legit stunned by how good Gravenberch has been these three games, the only real quality he showed last season was an ability to turn into space under pressure. Looks miles faster and sharper now, and not so willing to let games pass him by.
Perfect time to sack ETH really. Get it done.
Perfect time was back in May but no need to double down on a mistake.

If we'd lost playing to a style similar to our opening fixtures, you could at least point to teething problems with the new system. You buy yourself some space to breathe.
But after the opening 20 minutes it felt like we reverted back to our high press, low block tactics that caused so many issues last season. If you lose and show no progress you can't then make excuses.

By Oddinho Go To PostLovely cap to the weekend. Gravenberch is great to watch. Salah still has it. 3 games played, 0 goals conceded. Better start than I had even hoped for.

By Laboured Go To PostTactical masterclass. I love how we even play a lower defensive line than under Ole.“Control”
Kompany is over complicating everything tactics-wise. Hope he can turn this around and make it simple. Thomas saving his ass today
By Punished Go To PostMo just said this is his last year at the club.Who do you have an eye to replace him?

You've got to defend low,
press high,
build up slow and deep.
But you must go long and fast,
man mark in the midfield…

Only question is how sunk cost fallacy INEOS wanna get. Things are not going to improve.

that's just how good arne is, man.
I love how Salah had one decent season for Roma, then Liverpool buy him for nothing and he turns into fucking Messi for a season, and remains world class for the rest of his career.
One of the best player assessments and tactical fits I've seen in the PL.

If that's true about us not even discussing a new contract with Salah, that's quite the summer Hughes has wasted

By Scum Go To PostWho do you have an eye to replace him?
There's been no transfer rumours about who would replace Mo, Trent, Virgil.
Ideally Kvicha. But it wouldn't surprise me if Salah went to somewhere like Madrid and stayed at this current level for years.

By Laboured Go To PostTactical masterclass. I love how we even play a lower defensive line than under Ole.yeah, saddest thing about this is it shows how incredibly weak United is against a front press.
The only time there's a semblance of this working is when Mount is playing, but then United loses some teeth upfront.
By Cleff Go To Post?Past it at the top level unfortunately.
Hopefully, Ugarte can come in do 70mins and Case can come in for the final 20.
Onward and upward.
There were a few times in the opening 20 minutes where we won the ball in Liverpool's half and one good pass puts a forward through on goal. Each one was either inaccurate or underhit to the extent where it was an easy interception for a Liverpool player.
Like I can kind of see what we're working on on training. The ball winning and off ball movement is there on transition. But in every game this season and last the final ball has been poor. It's clear we can't put into practice what we've been working on. That's on the coaching really.

By Killer7 Go To PostCity will walk it again.Hard to argue, sadly.
Doubt Arsenal can keep up again and will have a better reading of Liverpool when they play an actual good team. Beating this United isn't a tough task, we've made every team look better than us so far this season.
Just happy to support a good team.

Collyer wasn't great when he came on but he did manage to win possession back a few times. Rab down a few blond alleys and gave the ball away, but I'm willing to forgive that as the rest of the side was in disarray.
He's be infinitely better than Casemiro as a substitute right now.

By Hitch Go To PostDidn't realise how much Ceballos played for Arsenal given his lack of impact thereThey were dark times.
By inky Go To Postopen heart surgery has failedThe squad is far from being completely overhauled.
it's time for full brain transplant
There is still quite a few players to remove in order for the quality of depth to be there. Open heart surgery in this instant can't be done in a single window.
The first 20 mins is how the team should be playing for.the full 90. Unfortunately, the final ball is crap and when it gets there, there are no goal scorers in the team.
By Plasma Go To PostTen Hag pls. Not like this.
Haha, United are being managed by doicare.
By Hitch Go To PostDidn't realise how much Ceballos played for Arsenal given his lack of impact thereHe had one good debut against Burnley and nothing else, lol
Worries me how physically weak our players looked. Two goals came directly from our players losing the ball in duels.
Eww
By Cleff Go To PostWorries me how physically weak our players looked. Two goals came directly from our players losing the ball in duels.our players lack conviction
We've improved physically with addition of Delight and Zirk but we're still some ways off the top teams.
Bruno is slight and ditto Amad and Garnacho, so monsters like konate and Van Disney can bully them.

Feel like if you're pointing at cup competitions won you're asking for trouble. Yes it's a great feeling and not to be taken lightly. But they aren't signs of consistency or progress either. In one off games we can come up with a plan to beat a team. And when you stop winning the cup competitions you have nothing to fall back on.
All three goals today came from errors in a position, you just cannot make one.
You have the ball at the back, your full backs both are wide as possible and high on the pitch. The moment your midfielder due to a bad pass or a duel looses the ball it's 5/4 vs 3 {3 forward + 1/2 midfield press vs 2CBs and one defensive 6)
If you cannot get that in to players mind you will not make any progress. Few new players, so might take a while, but those that made those errors should already know better.
