By Plasma Go To PostReally hope we do shit, don't want Carsley getting the job.Who do you want?
Wouldn't be so against Carsley becoming permanent manager. There aren't many top level coaches willing to switch to international football. So barring that it makes sense to appoint your u21 manager known for an attractive brand of football. His on depth knowledge of the younger players in the English system can only be a good thing too.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostI just want Grealish to score. I would accept a 2-1 loss for this to happen. How about Rice?
Trent in the best position. Waistcoast thought he had the big brains playing him in midfield. Big time joker.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostWho do you want?I'd take Potter, just feel like we shouldn't just keep offering it to the caretaker just because they're in the right place at the right time.
Coleman is our best player in the post Robbie Keane/Damien Duff era.
He's 36 next month and his legs are gone. Sad seeing him struggle so much and even sadder that there's nobody even half as good to replace him.

He finished 10th with Swansea. The season after he left they finished 6th.
He finished 9th with Brighton. The season after he left they finished 6th.
He finished 11th with Chelsea. The season after he left they finished 6th.

The difference being Carsley has actually won a tournament?
Would absolutely rather him than Potter. The number of club managers who have successfully translated their qualities to national team management is exceptionally small.
By Freewheelin Go To Post#CarsleyBall is gr8 ladsIt's as smooth as his dome.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostThe season after he left they finished 6th.
a season he contributed to
6 matches only, but with a point average of 2.17 vs De Zerbis 1.53
btw, they finished 3 points off Brentford at 9th
maybe the trajectory was already there
No longer have the heart to rant about John Delaney ruining Irish football.
He did, however, pay himself more per year than the league winners earned in prize money (360k Vs 100k). And that's even after agreeing to take a pay cut.

Wirtz is enjoying footy today
so much fun to watch when he is on it.
de Ligt rofl
Was squeaky bum for a while but Woutser tap-in for the 4-2 and Xavi with the 5th, deserved one

The Women's Champions League qualification is so strange. We had to play a 4 team tournament in Iceland were we beat Eintracht Frankfurt and Breidbalik (who were playing at home) both by 2-0.
Now we are going to play the final playoff before the group stage against one of this 5 teams : Real Madrid, Manchester City, Arsenal, PSG or Wolfsburg.
Tough job for our ladies, we need two perfect performances to get through but have the female Gyokeres.
Telma Encarnação is the best Portuguese striker and she is the only woman player we ever paid a transfer fee, a "huge" 180K€.
A lot of Portuguese and foreign teams have been after her but she always refused because she didn't want to leave Madeira. I'm happy she changed her mind, apparently her girlfriend is a massive Sporting fan so if she influenced Telma into coming to Sporting, we should make her a honorary president of the club.
It's going to be great for Telma's development (she is still only 22) and we needed a world class player after Liverpool took the 20 year old Canadian international Olivia Smith from us for a reported 250k.
I hope she is happy at Liverpool and I am going to watch some Liverpool matches just to see her.
It's ridiculous we managed to get her even if it was for just one season, she is great.
