Liverpool turned it up a notch at half time and have absolutely bullied them really. Ipswich are still the most interesting team to get promoted in a while, even over Luton for me. Absolutely no idea what McKenna's ceiling with them is.

High for a team that were in League 1 less than 2 years ago. League 1 is barely football.
Difficult team to have as your first match but from what I've seen I think they'll do well. Ge the promising kids from the big clubs on loan or transfer.
Pool found the free space behind the first press line in the second half and could do what they wanted. Probably should have scored a few more.
Ipswich press often looked a lot like Manu last season, need entire team to do it, not just front 4 or you will get overrun. Need to see them more against slightly lesser opponents to see what their level is.

Much better second half, only small issue I have is that we went a bit casual in attack after going two goals up. Defensive line was very well organised, though we'll obviously be going up against teams that are much more clever in trying to break it. Maybe a tactics boff can explain why our midfield was so much better in the second half.
Not entirely sure what the benefit is in Alisson being the one to end up playing the forward passes as opposed to the centrebacks, especially Van Dijk.
