Pretty fucked that City have been cheating for so long that it opens up the possibility of them being punished less harshly.
If they get what they deserve, it'll be a hammer blow to the product and an admission that the last decade has been a complete waste of time. Plus I imagine there's a chance that the government will step in.
One or both of those is more likely to effect the decision and fallout than the number of average viewers City have in the States probably.

Some positive vibes around United currently. Decent signings, clear presence of leadership around the club, work being done to build a relationship between the club and it's match going fans again.
0-2 Fulham.
0-2 Fulham.
They perfected the art of stalling and winning on technicalities and statue of limitations.
Basically the VC playbook. Commit as many crimes as you can early and often to launch a successful product; let the lawyers handle the blowback once you're there and stall for as long as possible.
And if City stopped existing tomorrow, the EPL and the UCL would be more than fine. No one would care.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostSo which are you guys watching tonight, Us vs. Oxford or the Fulham match?Looking forward to United wasting chance after chance.
I'm not that confident on United's attacking, hopefully there's significant improvement at the back. Apparently according to some, part of why it's disastrous there is because we were playing a highline defense with players who either arent familar, or not comfortable with playing that.
So now there's no excuse.
By Dazenheimer Go To Postwhy is the US playing Oxford?Poch is getting ready for the world cup early.
Are they both on Sky?
Their new EFL deal is shit. Putting an EFL game on at the same time as the first PL game... makes sense.
Putting two of our first three home games at 12.00 and 12.30? Wankers.

Santa Clara down to 10 men. Since AVB took over as Porto president, they ended up every league match against 10 men.
That's 7 straight matches.

I just hope Rashford buries his first chance. If not he’s gonna have a shit game. I expect a shit game
By Cleff Go To PostMazraoui rumoured to start. Martinez and Maguire at CB
Yup, Rash also starting (unsurprisngly).

By inky Go To PostFalse 9 m9Would rather play Garnacho for Mount and put Rashers up top.
we have no strikers
By Laboured Go To PostGot to say I have serious issues with Kobbie still having the 37 shirt. Unserious stuff.Standing on the shoulders of giants
By FortuneFaded Go To PostWould rather play Garnacho for Mount and put Rashers up top.Garnacho, Amad, Rashers all at the same time might be too much. It's "we're a goal down with 10 minutes to go" levels of not giving a fuck about tracking back.
I'd rather have a pine-cone than Mount, especially with Casemiro-Mainoo double pivot, but it's what we got.
Just realised no Sancho in squad . Looks like one that could be on the way. Good stuff.
Probably shouldn't be too worried but I do not like the idea of Traore running at us on the counter

@Meier What does it mean average viewership of 36.9m? Per game? I didn't know football was that popular in the US.
By Flutter Go To Posti need Mount to man up and show his qualiteh.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostSky now predicting United player 4-2-4 with Mount & Bruno as forwards.
Same set up as the Community Shield.
Right line up tonight. Go with the side who played well vs City but put Martinez in the right place.
By Lego Go To Post@Meier What does it mean average viewership of 36.9m? Per game? I didn't know football was that popular in the US.It means a City puff piece has cherry picked whatever stats make them sound best

By Lego Go To Post@Meier What does it mean average viewership of 36.9m? Per game? I didn't know football was that popular in the US.Honestly, it doesn't really make a lot of sense to me either, but Nielsen is the organization who tracks this stuff in general for TV so whatever the number really is, City were the most viewed. I suspect that number is actually the number of viewers across the season rather than the average (i.e. 1 million per match).
By FortuneFaded Go To PostSo which are you guys watching tonight, us vs. Oxford or the Fulham match?None. As I get older I place more value on my time. I have a simple criteria when watching team sports: both teams must have more wins than losses. For the first week of the season I use previous season's records. So only Chelsea vs City fits my criteria for EPL this weekend.
Don't take this as an insult but I only have room in my life for one poor quality league, my own. You'd have to pay me to watch EFL.

in theory the game should be on Max on my region but I can't find it and they don't even have a landing page
