Neto is good but combine his existing injury record with Chelsea's physio departament and he'll probably never play again
The hold-up in Liverpool’s pursuit relates to the structure of possible deal, their efforts to convince the 25-year-old to leave his boyhood side and Sociedad’s attempts to retain him.
Romano says we're still in for Ugarte. Might try and make one more effort for him before the window shuts.
Honestly while he is not the unicorn DM we necessarily require (I'm not sure one exists) I still think he is up there as one of the better options out there, and a lot more desirable than the other options if we have the money.

I am... not at all fine with Berge even though I understand the data behind it.
Liverpool doing well out of the Solanke deal. 20%

Still being linked with Ferdi but feels like another one on the back-burner, meanwhile Brighton seem pretty keen on him.

I get that INEOS don't want to be seen as easy marks in the transfer window, but they may have to make concessions to get the players the squad needs. Whether that means buying for slightly more or selling for slightly less to generate finds quicker.
Ugarte isn't a complete midfielder by any means. But he'd be our best athlete and ball winner by far. And we're desperate for such a player right now.

It's 2024 Cleff, jesus
Adam Wharton seems to be the ideal target for the type of DM we probably are looking for. From what I've seen he's looked very similar to Carrick.
Issue is I think he'll end up costing £60m+ after next season

By Willkiller Go To PostIt's 2024 Cleff, jesusUgarte's agent is Jorge Mendes. I'm pretty sure Castles has an in with him. Doesn't mean the move will happen, but I wouldn't discount the story entirely.
Castles is a joke but at least in the past if the person was a Mendes client he could be reliable since he obviously is just a mouthpiece for him.
A lot of City fans want us to go for Wharton.. he's been a "name" for like 4-5 months. I'm not sure that's enough of a sample size to spunk 60m+ on personally.

By n8 dogg Go To PostNeto being good isn’t the issue. Chelsea’s squad size is. Got like 13 or 14 players vying for four positions. This right here.

not so reliable
France is really getting after it in the second half of this game vs Spain.. shocked they haven't pulled one back.
3-2 now. Gonna be a goal for Olise but looked like it came off the Spain defender. Olise is so damn good.
By domino Go To Post65m for Solanke is nuts rightNot too surprising. Scored 21 goals last year. Pretty dry striker market, plus he’s English. I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was closer to £50m but £60-65m doesn’t shock me.
So fucking stupid that players are still just hauling their opponents down on set pieces with VAR around. One of the benefits of zonal marking.
Should have kept Fred around, innit. @Fergie

Don’t get Olympic rules. Gotta be an amateur boxer, the football has Mateta, Olise and scrubs, but LeBron and Djokovic can play.
