By Meier Go To PostFigured I’d post this in here since some of the old PC FIFA players may remember him from when we played the matches against one another (and just from GAF in general). The_Visualizer from our team/gaming crew took his life last week. He had been battling demons for awhile and finally decided that it was time. RIP, Steve.
That's horrible man. RIP

Classic interaction in our Pro Clubs thread from the old place:
He was a very sarcastic dude. A real good guy and genuinely horribly missed already. Anyway, I just want to sort of remind everyone to think about the fact there is a real person on the other end of the screen. I know I've snapped at people on here before and honestly I really regret it usually because we are a small community and it's much better to be on good terms than not.

Horrible stuff. But it sounds like he enjoyed those gaming sessions for a long time, so take solace in that.

We all played genuinely thousands of hours together across FIFA and other games over the past 12 years or so. Something changed in him about a year ago and unfortunately this was sort of an inevitable conclusion but even mentally preparing yourself for it doesn't make it less painful.
RIP Steve
Another couple classics:
This one involves me getting very annoyed after hours and hours but it was worth it!

Eyes up. Hope he found his peace
I remember the name, but not any individual interactions.
RIP dude. Thanks for the stories and for letting us know, Meier

it's weird seeing how many people seriously see this as racism. instead of just a guy not rewarding behaving acting like children.
By Laboured Go To PostI do think Real Madrid's "how about we pay a £0 transfer fee" strategy may have come a cropper here. It's clear they they had a certain value they wouldn't go over for a 18 year old with only 1 year left in his contract.
It's a bummer to miss on him, especially considering the injuries and ages of the team CBs. Would probably go into the season with Rudiger and Militao as the starters Tchouameni and Castilla CB/Vallejo as the backups with Alaba returning towards the end of the year.
Wonder if next summer they try to go big for someone who is closer to the end product (eg. Bastoni) or try to find some other youngster that meets their criteria.
Well, if we can afford €60m for a cb and we'd rather spend it on a prospect than an established neverton or Bayern player, I guess I accept the gamble.
We're moving forward on sales, but not fast enough either. I don't think the 500k we got for Donny filled the coffers...

I know who they've signed and are linked with, but someone break down the expected United outgoings.

Interesting. Seems he'll remain eligible to play for at least some time..

By Elchele Go To PostAndré Villas-Boas is FC Porto's president?!Has been for a few months, was elected with 80% of the votes, defeating Pinto da Costa who had been Porto's president for 42 years.
Porto are in terrible financial situation, AVB has been working hard to find money to pay wages and having to renegotiate deals with banks and investors.
They haven't signed anyone despite losing 2 starters for free and they will have to sell players to improve their situation.
By Cleff Go To PostPlease no the media circle jerk around Southgate was bad enough but the media seem to swoon over him because he calls them mate every few seconds.
Evertonians, Goodison Park chiefs and everyone who has watched ‘The Carlisle Kaiser’ over recent months – including United in the heart of hearts – know Branthwaite’s true worth, so why is Jim Ratcliffe’s new regime playing such silly games? If anything, £45million plus add ons now we’re in July, is arguably a more disparaging offer than the original £35million plus add ons they submitted back in June
The Carlisle Kaiser....

By Laboured Go To PostWell, this has been a tremendous side-bonus.
Rejected another bid from Fulham for McTominay. He has a year left on his contract plus another 12 month extension. If we can get £40m-50m for he and AWB I'd be pretty happy.

I think we get more like £35m (maybe less) for both and that is absolutely fine. I do realise that for PSR we're trying to eek out every penny for McTom.
