By Meier Go To PostBranthwaite is a really good player.. nice price if they can get it. Not sure if it makes a ton of sense at £65-70m though if that is truly what Everton want.
Hope I'm wrong of course but his stats all suggest he cannot carry or pass out of the back well at all (even adjusting for Dyche tactics) and he is fairly basically a 1v1 and box defender and that's about it.
Utd apparently in for Ugarte as well. If PSG paid €60m for him last season, I am unsure why Utd think €45m + bonuses would be sufficient (their apparent initial bid). You would think they'd demand closer to €80-100m.

United have some balls on them to pay what they did for Maguire five years ago and then try and offer nearly half of what Everton have said they expect for Branthwaite.
I do think if they can get him, de Ligt and Ugarte over the line that they'll be much improved though.

All in the space of an hour.
What a night.
Not used to United making a coordinated effort to sign so many players at once. Usually it's a scramble on deadline day.

Weirdly, not too excited for any of the signings. Its probably because I've hardly seen much of any of them. Ugarte has looked decent for Urugay this Copa but not sure how he'll fair in the PL. His last season at PSG wasn't too special from what I read.
Branthwaite is ok but has never stood out to me whenever watching Everton play. If we are looking to get both De Ligt and Branthwaite then it's most likely Mags/Lindelof are on the way out.
Never seen Ugarte play so I can't say shit, but apparently Enrique doesn't rate him since he wants to build up from the back, but he's pretty sound otherwise.
Problem is ETH wants to build the best transition team in the EPL. So hopefully it's just a case that he isnt good enough for that with PSG.
De Ligt would be great despite the injury problems last season; because at least he hasn't fucked his body up like Varane had.
Speaking of; I'm more excited about the upheaval of the medical team. Hopefully it pays off this season.

Overall there's no excuse this time if United doesn't get the ball rolling early in the season. Most players deservedly didnt get picked for NT, the ones that do (other than Martinez) are second options or that they are already out of the competitions.
Rashford for instance better has his head on straight this time, because shit, he's probably the most high paid player in the team.

Out of having a surgery and I see we're interested in Chilwell?
The guy was likely next ward over to me for goodness sake
Hope that's untrue
That Branthwaite bid is... fine I guess. Like Horse said, he's not really stood out in that team. That fee is pushing it. Although, his versatility and seeming both-footedness is unique.
I'd prefer we go for Hincapie.
Ugarte is risky. I understand the rationale but I'm unsure how useful he'll be in unlocking a low block. Curious that Enrique isn't a fan too. Is he the right presence to park next to Mainoo? He is a tackle master though.
Also, I worry that we're earmarking Amrabat as a cut-price solution for this position if sales don't go our way. Deary me.
Meanwhile, Kadioglu... can't that guy play literally everywhere? I managed him in FM. Rogue choice and probably just agent talk.
De Ligt and Zirkzee are my favourite targets so far, especially for the prices quoted.

Dude's 27 so he better buck up because physically and technically, he's already there. His mentality is the one lacking.

Lads I’ve really hit a wall trying to live my best life in Japan. Trying to be a better designer while also learning the appropriate Japanese for the job is exhausting and I feel out of my depth like never before.

Not heard of him till we made the bid.
By Oddinho Go To PostHow does one get a job on the biggest stage like this after being banned for match fixing
Cause nothing much happened and its almost 20 years ago
As a young assistant referee, Zwayer received a six-month ban in 2006 over an allegation that he received money from another referee, Robert Hoyzer, who was banned for match-fixing..
A ruling in the case, which was eventually published in 2014 by German newspaper Die Zeit, stated that Zwayer accepted 300 euros ($325) from Hoyzer ahead of a game in 2004 and had not immediately reported the incident, but said there was no evidence Zwayer manipulated a game and that he eventually provided crucial evidence
Bellendham will keep crying though

By Laboured Go To PostHe sure as fuck isn't £70m good (imo).Yep. If he was playing in other league, he’ll be picked up for half that price tag.

I mean both positions are amongst the most demanded in general for remote positions m8

I’m a UX designer yeah. I’m looking to switch things up within the next year. Lots of positions out there, but daddy is toting around an out of date portfolio and my office is hard to leave behind even if they don’t give me market rate pay

I mean it sounds like you're still comfortable where you are, and still getting something from your current position/job so don't rush it. But use the power of knowing there are other job possibilities (with its pros and cons) like remote positions to ease your mind about your future brother
By Willkiller Go To PostHow?!I dont watch Everton. Even when they play United.
Doesn't really seem likely to happen. If he only has a year left on his contract (I think) and only wants to go to RM then they hold all the cards. I would very much rather we got him tho.
By Laboured Go To PostDoesn't really seem likely to happen. If he only has a year left on his contract (I think) and only wants to go to RM then they hold all the cards.Lille aren't going to want to lose him for a fraction of his value to Madrid and you'd imagine they've told other clubs that they're prepared to play hardball with Yoro and drop him into the reserves for a year if he refuses a move. United, Liverpool, and PSG aren't going to remain interested if they thought there was zero chance of a move.
Nah we never bid on him because, while yes he wanted to go to RM, we were too spaffing money at fucking CR7.
By Dazenheimer Go To PostCR7 of 3 years ago was still semi-functional.Just like Alexis Sanchez six years ago.
Mad that out of Branthwaite, Yoro and De Ligt the easiest to sign is the latter. The one that has achieved far more in his career.
City do well selling there players don't they.
Read a while back City were looking at Musiala or Wirtz to come in (possibly as a KDB replacement). Would be very good replacements if they managed to get either one.
Taking Preston's beloved club captain on a free AND he's taking a pay cut just to play for The Lads.
What a club.
