Who gives a flying fuck about the results of a preseason friendly?
yeah...
It's a nice way to get a look at some youngsters and so on, for fans of the club, and obviously for the coaches to try out some different things. But it's completely useless result wise, especially the early ones.
Every year
Every year we do this about preseason
It's about fitness, you don't get a real clue about how players/teams will preform in the real season because they're operating at intensity far below the competitive standard. Pls.

i think most coaches would be offended by saying it's just fitness. certainly also a time to try out new things/tweaking stuff, and a way to get ot know new team mates if theyre there already. but yeah, the main point stands, it's useless to look at the results.

But yeah obviously it's the time to try things out etc, but the vast majority of it is all on the traning field I think there's little to no value that the fans really see because the matches are so far away from what they are when the season starts
I wasn’t going after you. I was going after the tweet with the CAPITAL WORDS for emphasis complete with 😬 grimace emoji.
By Flutter Go To PostI apologise to everyone on joking about Preston and Rosenborg. It's all good
Will do better.
I remember when we lost to NY Red Bulls U-18 in preseason and that was the beginning of the end for Mourinho.
I agree with the chat about pre-season being mostly meaningless if you're trying to glean insight to how your actual season will go. But it's a good chance to see how some of your youth players and new signings get on.
Yoro is starting for us this afternoon for instance. Will be the first chance for most United fans to see him play.

I'm not even sure who we're taking with us on our US tour because so many are still recovering.

Can't believe he'd do this to Will Fish. #ETHout
I think we should all just accept that the preseason games for the team you support are all about fitness and are meaningless for everything else.
However for all the teams you don't support, preseason is clearly a vital indicator of team strength.

By Lego Go To PostDon't know why I watch these preseason games but nothing better to doIt's way too hot outside. Already went swimming in the morning but right now the sun is burning way too much and my living room is cool so here I am watching Rangers X United.
It's pre-season but Amad should get considerable minutes this year.
Genuinely insane if he rides bench for some twirler again.

Is it too late to withdraw our bid?
Gyokeres back in training, what a time to be alive. Hopefully he will be ready to play in the Super Cup in two weeks.
Would start Garnacho and Amad LW and RW.
ETH not starting the lad last season until the last 5 or so games was mad. Antony is shite in comparison

Good half. Really like the look of Yoro. Impressed with his line braking passing into the attackers. Quite pacey too. Will probably need to develop a bit more physically for the PL but good start.
Amad is a baller. ETH made mistakes not playing him more last season, but hopefully he gets to play alot more this season.

Wheatley is an absolute Unit.
Yoro looks very good - long limbs great recovery.
The one thing I pulled ETH on last season was his neglect of Amad till the end of the season.

According to the United View - anyone who played in the quarter finals of the international comps, Euros and Copa will NOT be going to the Tour.
Antony should be no where near a starting spot (other than def work rate/press). But Amad, after good pre-season and than injury , had really underwhelming performances when he got the chance a few times.
So moving Garnacho over to that side and Marcus LW was logical at the time. He did look more confident in the end of the season and more deserving of a spot. (still not Sunderland confident imo)
