And 1 steal, but "it's just summer league"
😈

Sarr is gonna have a rough summer league and a rough season, he got "stand and watch" itis written all over him
By Christberg Go To PostOK, I sorta get the Sarr thing now but I’m still not at all convinced he’s an NBA playerHe's a special rim protection talent and that pretty much always translates, but yeah there are huge question marks about a lot of other stuff. Especially since he apparently doesn't want to play center. That said... summer league can be rough for bigs, I'm not reading too much into this game.

Dude needs to get stronger and just play center. He’s got a massive hole to dig himself out of to even be passable on offense which is a requirement for PF.
I can see him being a good rim runner and lob catcher on offense but I haven’t seen anything that lets me believe he’s gonna be much more than that. Tiny sample size though.

He landed in the worst spot possible of the top 5, playing with Kuz and Poole while also needing to be spoon fed is just nasty work

By DY_nasty Go To Posta poor mans nerlens noel you sayYou can't prove Noel wouldn't have been good if he wasn't so injury prone, and anyway Sarr isn't the same kind of prospect.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostThe 1 and 2 pick are in a heated mid off and Johnny Davis better get his passport readyI unironically don't think Davis could earn the foreign spot on a CBA team.
By Koko Go To PostCan't wait to start my Trey Alexander propaganda..
By Koko Go To PostThey killing Strawther out there.I didn't get to watch but it looks like Holmes did pretty well at least?

By Koko Go To PostHe looked more comfortable as the game went on, but then he went down.He was like a top 10 prospect for me... that's horrible. For it to happen in summer league especially. I know ACL recovery is a lot more common these days but being out for a whole year sucks.
By reilo Go To PostWhat shady ass under the table deal is the Brunson cooking with CAA and the Knicks wtfAlways take the money. Fuck them owners and fuck CJ
He took $113m less than if he waited a year, what a dumbass thing to do
CJ got more things to be counted as BRI so the players are effectively getting more money than they would compared to the last cba. The second apron rules don’t affect how much money the players as a whole make.
Naw CJ basically gave the owners an excuse to make players like Brunson have to take less money if they want to win because LeBron hurt his feelings.
never trust a dude with a billionaire son as a bestie
never trust a dude with a billionaire son as a bestie
I mean, that had already been the case. There are like only 2-3 teams that were ever willing to spend to the level of the second apron, anyway. Just the Clippers, Warriors, and some other team I can’t remember. Everyone else was avoiding the hell out of it, even before this CBA. It really just doesn’t affect much. It does give cheap owners another excuse to be cheap, though.
Nah Brunson is dumb. The players still get 51% of the BRI regardless and the owners have to reach 90% of the salary floor before the season starts.
There also wasn't any shortage of giant contracts handed out this summer.

By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostApparently Mikal Bridges will take less too."Then the other one took less money"
The lazy awful transition defense really seals the deal. You absolutely cannot do that during Summer League as a rookie.
This type of ball watching in transition gets you kicked off the team lmao

A lot of people in their feelings about what a grown ass man chooses to do with his life. Crazy how he went from lolknicks massive overpay to "wow shady fucks" in the blink of an eye
He's also going to be eligible for a 5 year, 418 million dollar contract at the end of this one so you can all rest easy that he'll make his money and won't have to live paycheck to paycheck

By Pac-2 Go To PostImagine believing Thibs will allow him to make it to another contract.brunson is immortal
good luck to him getting another max with 3 years more of thibs and being an undersized 31 year old.
worked out fine for most of the others.

This really sucks, one of my favorite prospects from this draft and he landed in a great situation too. Was hoping to see him sooner than later. Hope he has a quick recovery- has to be galling for sure.
By reilo Go To PostDefending doing billionaire owners a favor is wildHow is that doing a billionaire a favor? It's just doing another player a favor. At worst, it just means his owner pays less in luxury tax to other billionaire owners.
You already mentioned the CBA having the 51% of BRI going to players so you already know this.
wait his new extension kicks in after next year so he will be 32 yo undersized guard with another 4 years of thibs.
GG.
