Supposedly he is playing because they want to use him differently on offense (pass from the high key) and wanted to try it out. It will likely be only a couple games.

With the usual "it's just summer league" caveat, the Jazz have a lot of returners and Edey is not looking like a liability on defense. But definitely struggling a bit on offense (outside his screens which are premium tier). Walker Kessler is a great matchup for him.
