Lol at that being Murray's asking price. I guess the Pels are better with Murray instead of Ingram.
Hakws are just garbage.

Nobody told him freaknik wasn't a thing anymore.
By DY_nasty Go To PostQuin Snyder asked for thisI still don't know why he took that job. Better ones would have become available.
By reilo Go To PostIt theoretically could have been a not completely awful deal if Dejounte's performance didn't fall off a cliff next to Trae.

Trae is a much better faciliatator than Murray. Murray's defense also waned later in this pass season.
By Sharp Go To PostThe Hawks were way better with Trae and not Dejounte than Dejounte and not Trae, and the league apparently is valuing Dejounte higher anyway.
Basically this.
Put some competent players around Trae and the Hawks will be fine.
By reilo Go To PostTrae's a cancer
I don't know how his teammates and coach feel about him, but I do think there may be some merit that some players/coaches around the league and the officials may not care for him.
The scuttle is that Trae is not liked by his teammates, coaches, or front office.
E: but he has the support of the owner’s son and that’s all that matters to the Hawks

trae isn't really a better facilitator - he's a flowchart point guard. the highest tier tbf
that team's been his for years. he ain't adjust to shit. no one should be surprised how it played out with a coach getting told to kick rocks and the all-star guard brought in specifically to take pressure off of him as the sole ball handler + open up his off ball game leading to essentially nothing.
so atlanta is 'used' to playing trae's style. of course they're better 1:1 but its not a fair comparison.

By Kibner Go To PostCJ is going to be gone, too. Maybe not now. Maybe at the trade deadline or when he becomes an expiring. For now, he'll just be coming off the bench. The starters are going to be DJM, Herb, Trey, Zion, <random big="">.
I'm bummed Dyson is gone but am so happy that Nance has been taken away from Willie. Nance is great people, though. Will miss that.
CJ off the bench for a couple of seasons could work, he doesn't really strike me as the type to complain.
I thinks he has a big enough ego to complain, but he probably also sees the writing on the wall so won’t be too loud about it.

Not a better facilitator than Murray though? Also for those years, whose the best player he had along side him? John Collins? Late prime Capella? The ECF run I think we can all agree was an outlier moment. The organization has failed drafting and acquiring talent to put around him. Personally, I don't think enough time was given to let Murray and Trae figure out how to play together, but it is what is now.
Also, let's not pretend the Hawks are the first org that have chosen star players over coaches.

trae made less than zero effort to match his game to dejounte though. or to try become a more dynamic guard in general so that the rest of the team could grow normally. he actively resisted it lol and that's not even a pointed jab at this point. a lot of atlanta's younger guys should be further along but having no normalcy at the guard position is just..... not ever healthy
By Kibner Go To PostHe would be hanging out with Logan Paul
Or Jake. Or Chris. Whichever. Anyone with the last name Paul is an asshole
By unknown Go To Postyall missing out lol. haliburton and brunson are on smackdown. shit was wild, brunson with a chair.
wwe is so up lol
It really sounds like they wanted to take Sheppard #1 and trade Trae, and only didn't because Landry Fields was worried he was going to be fired if he did...
he would've absolutely been fired if he traded dejounte and trae lol. and then use the pick on reed? atlanta would burn

That's a fair critique. I guess we'll see how it shakes out. Trae will probably demand a trade if the team isn't competitive in the next couple of seasons anyway.

Yes he would have, lol.
By DY_nasty Go To Posthe would've absolutely been fired if he traded dejounte and trae lol. and then use the pick on reed? atlanta would burnJust very funny to hear a FO picking #1 publicly leak that they thought one of the players in the draft was "a potential Mahomes type of player" then opt not to take him. That definitely feels like a lot of people in their front office were mad about taking Risacher, I don't feel like we usually hear stuff like that until after the player they passed up on actually becomes good.
I feel like any segment filmed in NY needs a spot where Jalen is knocked out/subdued. and Tyrese contemplates whacking his injured hand with a chair. Easy heat.
ugh Stein saying that Klay to Mavs is a strong possibility.... He's so washed lol, for 30 mil or whatever he's asking for is insane, unless he wants to come for the MLE i don't understand.
