By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostThe Hawks unprotected 2025 pick is probably the top thing on Ainges wishlist
Spurs aren't dumb enough to include that for the right to give Markkanen a big contract
By pilonv1 Go To PostSpurs aren't dumb enough to include that for the right to give Markkanen a big contractIt probably won't be a top 5 pick and the Spurs have drafted atrociously since their new GM took over when the decision wasn't slam dunk obvious... I would be perfectly fine trading it if I were them as long as I knew Markkanen was definitely signing an extension.
when you have the chance to trade a star player entering their prime that keeps saying they like being there you just gotta do it
(I'll understand if they trade him but im not built for this tanking)

You know Ainge will do anything to get Cooper
By diehard Go To Postwhen you have the chance to trade a star player entering their prime that keeps saying they like being there you just gotta do itI don't think he's actually getting traded, think Ainge is just fishing in case someone gives him a truly insane offer.

Joe Ingles is kinda perfect to replace Slo Mo. Since he can actually shoot, I won't be as mad when Finch stubbornly plays him so much.

He's such a good passer too. I've always wanted him as a Warrior, even if he can barely move now.

By Koko Go To PostThe 6 teams trade is going to hit different.
Close.
Yeah, guessing we see some wacky big trades because of cap rules on S&T this year.
Wonder if the Blazers go after Okoro, seems a good fit for MLE if you can find a home for Thybulle

By DY_nasty Go To PostI'm not convinced Okoro was ever good at basketballWhen did you realize that? When he let RJ look like a star player?
By DY_nasty Go To PostI'm not convinced Okoro was ever good at basketballHe's a fine end of the bench player. He'd be like the fourth best player on the Spurs. Was just drafted way too high and shouldn't be starting 40 games on a contender lol.
By Sharp Go To PostHe's a fine end of the bench player. He'd be like the fourth best player on the Spurs.that's like being the fourth most dangerous cop in terminator 2 lol
By DY_nasty Go To Postthat's like being the fourth most dangerous cop in terminator 2 lolI mean yeah it's not really a compliment, I just meant he does have some actual value. So many benches have G league caliber guys that are barely playable outside of blowouts, at least you aren't throwing the game by putting him out there.
To be clear, Thybulle is worlds better and Iβd rather have him. But if you can get some picks back and take a flyer on a younger kid that can shoot it makes sense- because the team is in develop/acquire talent mode.
CP3 and Klay to Melton, Anderson and Hield is an upgrade based on how the first two played last season. Still a massive hole for a second scorer though
By DY_nasty Go To Post wondering who the third team could be
Theo Maledon could be a decent PG if a team loved him.
He can do everything you want, but again - confidence issues for a guard just breaks everything

By Red Blaster Go To PostRemember Jarrett CulverBrother, do I ever. It was immediately apparent he couldn't play. The spin afterward was that the Wolves wanted Garland. Funny how they always just miss on the good prospect.
By reilo Go To PostGood contract.
hrmm, hmmm
Not that weird, IIRC he got injured straight away and missed training camp because of it. Imagine the team figures he doesn't need the reps and is better off spending that time in the lab.
By diehard Go To Postwhose life enough is sad enough to live blog summer league with mei am with you. always
By Christberg Go To PostNot that weird, IIRC he got injured straight away and missed training camp because of it. Imagine the team figures he doesn't need the reps and is better off spending that time in the lab. That's the part I'm unsure about... even from a minutes perspective, Scoot played fewer minutes per game than Miller and missed more than twice as many games as he did (and only started about half of them while Miller started almost all of them). I get not wanting to risk injury over something meaningless of course, but for instance DeAaron Fox, who had a terrible rookie season but turned things around next year, did play SL in year two (Garland, the other popular comparison, never played summer league, but for reasons that don't really apply here).

Summer League has the lowest stakes games to get super hyped or super depressed about. It's awesome.
