Weird how news is dropping now that the Warriors never offered Kuminga after PG signed somewhere else.

I mean, is it? Seems pretty evident to me that both the Lakers and Warriors are starting to prioritize the future over the happiness of the aging stars they currently have.
If you're Bron/Curry/Draymond it's up to you what to do with that- but those teams are fully in "milk aging stars for ticket and merch sales while you can - unlikely they win you any more chips" mode.
I just watched the Blazers do the same stuff the last couple years to get a jump start on their rebuild. It's gross but also probably the right move.
Wait why is Tyus not signed yet?
Also, that list is a great reminder that "you can easily get a good backup C in FA" is just not true.

It's really not. Good centers, even the backup variety are pretty damn rare. Watching the Blazers pick up "good" backup centers the last several years has taught me this. Watching the Nuggets stick with DAJ cemented it.
Mo Wagner is basically the only remaining center I'd want/consider. Actually kinda surprised nobody's picked him up yet - but then I'd guess he's already back on the Magic, just contract negotiation stuff.

I saw Clippers people doubting it at the time when people were shitting on the Clippers for not trading George to GS. In fact:
By Christberg Go To PostSo wait, the clips have one whole power forward if I’m reading that right. Also he’s like 35 and shouldn’t be starting any more. All that to sign a couple of scumbags for no good reason?
Batum at center with 4 guards I guess?
Kawhi probably starts as the 4 right now, but it depends on what happens with the Dunn S&T.

Did you know the Lakers still have cap holds for Dwight and Dion Waiters until 2029?

No idea what to look forward to with this Nets year. Wild ride I’ve been on in my 4 years of watching lol.
One of my least favorite things is talking about guys in relation to where they were drafted years before like that matters at all.

I think it matters up until they sign their second contract
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To Post6 guys retired and still on your cap 🤣18M in dead money. D:
By Sho_Nuff82 Go To PostSharp, tell me if I should be hyped for VJ if we slip out of the top 4 somehowI honestly have no clue, but there will probably be guys who aren't on anyone's radar who play themselves into the top five anyway. There's also at least one sophomore who I think could have gone in the first round if he declared this year (Collin Murray Boyles--one of the youngest players in the class and had a 10+ BPM as a freshman), but went back to college to work on his jumpshot; if that translates I think he'll be a high lottery pick. Obviously we won't know for sure until the season gets underway, but it's shaping up to be a much stronger class at the top than this year, so I wouldn't worry too much about landing at five.
Will the Spurs have a better eFG% on wide open threes than Wemby does on tightly contested twos this season? Last season was pretty close.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostKessler is out of the question. We gave away all our picks for Bridges and Ainge always wants like 3 good young guys and 5 picks

Salary wise it would be Deuce
Luka is 0/9 from three and 8/23 overall in this qualifier game against Croatia. This is why they got Klay I guess...

Why is Brandon Miller in summer league?
I don't have a problem with 2nd year guys playing a few games, even if they are proven to be good.
It's really common for the Jazz to put in 2nd and sometimes 3rd year players to play in the SLC SL just for the fans.
I think it was Jalen Williams last year that was playing too much though. I probably bitched about Keegan Murray too.

By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostThis rumor doesn't make any sense. Are they so out on him that they would even consider the scraps the Knicks have left over?
edit: Summer league number 3 for Kessler is nasty work.

Seems like they have moved on, they drafted Kyle, signed Eubanks and play Collins as their C
I kinda doubt they have moved on. He was really good as a rookie that would be really stupid to move on just because of bit of a disappointing sophomore season. Collins is not a long term player at all.
By Sho_Nuff82 Go To PostSharp, tell me if I should be hyped for VJ if we slip out of the top 4 somehowI think that list outside of Cooper and Ace is going to look different.
It will be interesting to watch Harper playing with Ace this next year.
All the Knicks have to trade are Deuce McBride, 26 and 30 swaps, protected first round picks from Detroit and Washington and a boatload of 2nds. Hard to imagine that would be enough for Ainge's bitch ass.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostSeems like they have moved on, they drafted Kyle, signed Eubanks and play Collins as their CCollins is so much worse at C, lol. Literally a Trae Young merchant. I have no idea why they hate Kessler.
