By pilonv1 Go To Postonly a little bitNah Murray is good when healthy, people were just wildly overrating him before and are now overcorrecting. Like yes Jokic is Jokic but someone has to stop teams from just loading up to stop him and ignoring everyone else.
By DiPro Go To Postare the Warriors legit?
They'll get exposed in the playoffs because no one other than Steph can score consistently and Buddy will get played off the court.
Defense is excellent and it's a credit to Stack for it. But without a true second scorer there's a limited ceiling.
They're better than last season at least.
By DiPro Go To Postany possibilities for a tradeline upgrade? There always is for every team. it’s the nba, where incredible happens.

I’m really enjoying watching missi. His decision tree is wide, but shallow if anyone understands what I mean by that.

Lol what a fucking joke of a quote. This has nothing to do with finding ways to watch the stars play -- that's all the fucking NBA shows! And they're available everywhere!
This is about RSNs failing and blackout rules prohibiting fans from watching their team locally and affordably.
What a fucking joke to think the problem is "not enough stars on TV". The reason everyone watched the Olympics because the Olympics are available for essentially free everywhere.
By RAThasReturned Go To PostAre they gonn improve the app in any way or just fuck you pay us?
By reilo Go To PostWhether that is the reason or not, they are right that nobody is carrying the torch when lebron retires. usually someone was there from mj, kobe, lebron. there are still several great players but none of them are landmark type of players like the one's I mentioned.

This is not an issue in any other sport -- if teams are good, they get promoted, not the individuals. Only NBA does this.
Besides, Ant, Wemby, Luka, Ja (even!), Shai, are all right there. This isn't a serious argument.
Not to mention the best players in the league right now are not Lebron, Curry, and Durant: it's Jokic and Giannis.
Why the NBA decided the answer to some of its issues a few years ago was to move the start into early Oct never made sense to me. No one except diehards care about basketball right now. Most people know that at some point the same 7 teams on tv all the time was going to cause problems. It could be that we are starting to reach that time.

By reilo Go To PostThey wanted to reduce back-to-backs. That's the most important factor. And I think it's the right call.no it wasn't. extending into the summer when there is nothing but middle of the season baseball was the right choice. You think the average person is going to watch an NBA playoff game or the yankees 102 game of the season.

There's probably more talent than ever.
By DiPro Go To PostThere's probably more talent than ever.
By Rob Go To PostNot probably. There isThe league can't even promote someone like Brunson right to get voted as an ASG Starter while playing on a playoff team in New York. Shit's dumb.
That's such low-hanging fruit to help promote the next wave of stars.
By Rob Go To PostNot probably. There is💯Most teams have benches that aren’t full of complete trash while also having at least one actually good star player. The depth is unreal.
Other than Luka, Ant, Lamelo and Ja it aint really anyone that captivating to me to watch play in the league today from the new gen (lets say <30). That and not knowing who is/isn't going to play on a given night. The overall talent and level of play is fine and in a good spot but a lot of the stars I simply don't enjoy them from an entertainment perspective.
And I'm not here to see Ant jack 13 3s a game either he need to get that down to about 6 or 7 and start cooking mfs.

Definitely. So much so that the league is ripe for expansion.
Them not knowing how to promote guys like Ja Morant and Anthony Edwards is absolutely 100% on the league and I don't want to hear about small market whateverisms.
Tbf... they needed to pause on promoting Ja because of Ja lol
The league was all-in on Ja before *handwaves*

This is very true.
But there's also Brunson and... you know... the 2 best players in the league in Jokic and Giannis and here we are.
By Christberg Go To PostThis is very true.Yea but NBA's media partners actively engaged in an anti-Jokic campaign when he was up for a 3rd MVP and he only ended up winning a championship and Finals MVP mere weeks later so yea cool awesome

This actually might have made me angrier than the whole trade Dame talk that went on for years. HOW DARE HE TREAT THE NBA LIKE HIS JOB! HE ONLY CARES ABOUT HORSE RACING!
Honestly I almost never watch the NBA regular season. I certainly don't watch it until like after the trade deadline.
Call grifters like you know they're grifting, and after they adjust, then promote them.
And count to 10 when Giannis is shooting free throws. Use a damn stopwatch if you have to.

This too. A generation of players who are perceived as being fragile and are exploiting the rules.
The NBA market machine seems to only be a 2 trick pony. They have the rival bit and the GOAT of the era bit.
Other than those, they have no clue how to market their players.

the problem isn't the lack of stars, its free accesibility.
It's part of it, but the WNBA disproves that though. Their numbers were through the roof due to having some new stars being promoted properly.
If Uncle Adam got gifted Caitlin Clark he'd fumble it. The NBA has promoted highlights & getting numbers at the sacrifice of the actual games.

And it's not like the media hasn't been trying to make Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese throw hands for two years
Wemby is playing like Jaren Jackson and Myles Turner, don't know what happened to him. You put a forward on him and it's goodnight.
