RIP Harold Ramis... thanks for the laughs
- Page 1 of 1
Well we lost a comically genius on Monday.. I knew but it really dawned on me just how many great movies he was a part of... How many of them made me laugh and how many of them helped shaped my own humor...
I am not much for words and you deserve a better send off than this but
anyways thanks for the laughs, you will be missed...

I grew up watching this guy on SCTV. They had so many comedians who went on to big things - John Candy, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, Martin Short - but I always thought Ramis was the funniest. It's kind of a shame he didn't do more acting in his career, but directing was obviously where he felt most comfortable. He'll be missed for sure.
This one made me far more sad than I expected.
Wow :(
You probably never saw the movie but he was in a film called Sliding Home with Jodie Foster and Mark Harmon. Great movie.
This man and Bill Murray single handedly gave one of the most lasting memories of when I was overseas. They played Stripes on the side of a trailer while we were eating chow. So goddamn good. He will be missed.
Stripes never got the love it deserved from the mainstream. I'm gunna miss this guy, he was still a solid director and amazing comedian that unfortunately found himself situated with a few duds in his career.
Wesley Morris from Grantland wrote a pretty good article on his career:
