It feels like the kids in these shows aren't actual characters but just pieces on a chess board to get knocked off.
Game of Thrones did a good job mostly avoiding skipping large amounts of time and then introducing the fact that everyone had 10 kids. So when people started getting knocked off you were actually invested.

That was another fantastic episode this season. I think people were worried about that they filmed this during the writers strike with scripts that were locked and well, that hasn't had any negative effect. It's being an even stronger season than the first one.
We got Demon Souls x Attack on Titan with some POV travelling shots mixed in too.
Also, what a wonderful surprise it was to see Milly again.

Well the bigger dragon took out an allied dragon and also his old homie and I think the relevance was her knowing the outcome before engaging. It was also a point of showing the outright destruction dragons will inflict to all involved for the upcoming war. At some point even the big dog has to fall
