By Scum Go To PostHe’s staying on as England manager, mate. #ItsComingHomeWhat a decade of shit does to a fan scum.
Pray for Man Utd Sla&ent…
The question I kept asking was, who comes in?
And none of outers could answer.
It was a bad season no doubt. But when he had his full backline and no injury crisis. He can do well.

By Cleff Go To PostTen Hag staying suggests he's willing to work under the INEOS structure of a DOF and performance director overseeing transfers. So I guess he'll have less input there, which is for the best.Taken his medicine after not wanting to work with Ragnick who saw straight through the squad from top to bottom and probably would have kicked out a lot of the players that (still) need kicking out
He never should have been given such responsibility. He's not a scout and can't possibly have the depth and breadth of knowledge to know who iay the best fit for the positions he wants filled.

He fell out with just about everyone at the club.
There's no value in the market out there.
Tuchel didn't like the setup and they obvs didn't find anyone of that caliber available or willing.

Ofcourse 10H wants to work with a functional technical structure at Manu, like at every other club he worked. He is a trainer coah, not an old fashioned manager that wants to do it all.
The club decides how you want to play and the TD keeps track of squad (performances/contracts, youth set-up) and talks with coach what he feels is needed. With a scouting apparatus plus possible own youth players he than has options available to replace or strengthen when needed. Talk with coach about the options and make decisssions, how hard can it be.
It is hard to believe that anno 2024 you still have to set up that structure at a club the size and status of ManU.

Pep’s playing Chess
By Willkiller Go To PostWhy the fuck would you go into contract extension talks though? It’s madness. Treat the season as a test and then extend him… doing it now only for him to shit it up and sack him anyway would be so stupid.
If you have your manager on a 1 year contract it just means you have 0 confidence in him.
I'm not sure how you lads thinks it's motivation for anyone in any job to pretty much tell them: you're already fired at the end of the year. In every single case, an employee will just find a 1 year contract as leeway to not give a fuck, because it's obvious the bosses don't.

It's a contract. See how the first few months of the season go and go from there.
I doubt he feels less motivated knowing he's only got a year left (which, if he was to start performing again, would likely be extended in good time before the expiry) compared with knowing his higher ups have been interviewing others for his position for the last couple of weeks.
Whatever considering or interviewing they've done, it's clearly over. If you turn around and tell him "you're the guy", then extending him makes sense. It's that or fire him.
And also, yes, it's an opportunity to re-assess objectives and roles vis a vis recruitment responsibilities and such.

Really need to start using Onana's short passing ability to build from deep. He's an excellent long distance passer, but we've seen how ragged we get when playing from back to front so quickly.
Need Martinez to stay fit and to sign another CB that's comfortable on the ball. With those three at the back and Mainoo in midfield you've the bones of a side that can effectively pass through a press.

Ten Hag obv had a terrible season, and finishing 8th should be a sackable offence for any Man Utd manager, but I suppose they wanted to keep him on just to see if he can work under the new structure
The ABU narrative will be that all of the other managers they talked to (Tuchel, Poch, Frank and De Zerbi) turned them down. I prefer this narrative

I'm glad ETH now not focusing on recruitment will somehow make him a better coach and stop us from repeating what happened last season.
Interesting move from the Ineos guys. If we lost the final I think he would be gone. Now they need to give him another contract as 1yr isnt enough if they think hes the man for the job and are working to a 3yr plan (even though hes had the last 2 season and shown no progress after yr1).
Need to bring in a backup for Martinez and Shaw. Can't afford going into next season with no left side defence.
Replacents for Varane and Evans.
Replacement for Casemiro, Eriksen and Amrabat
Replacement for Sancho/Greenwood.
Backup/contention for Hojlund.
Busy summer needed.

Also add into that that we're definitely buying an LB too.
Kudus and Olise definitely hot properties. Think all the big clubs are interested, particularly in Olise.
Liverpool are being linked a bit with Summerville. Not sure he’s at the level we need but I’m a Premface so I don’t know shit. Seems like we’re on the way to becoming Dutch FC

Man Utd could easily have finished in the bottom half with the state of their performances last season, and I don't think the injuries come close to accounting for that level of underperformance.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostLego pls post if you are okayI'm not okay, man. Absolutely disgraceful decision. Don't know why this club continues to accept mediocrity.
He'll be sacked in December, and we'll completely write off another season. There's no hope at Manchester United, that's all I wanted. Most managers fail and get sacked, but at least with a new man in charge, some decent signings, you go into the next season thinking, well maybe, just maybe...
United will be lining up with this defence in the year 2025 and it's almost a certainty. Dalot, Evans, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka.
They don't have the money to make the necessary signings, and they don't have the balls. Martinez and Shaw will be injured for large portions of the season again, and the excuses will start, like we didn't know there's players in this squad who are physically unreliable.
United need to sign 2 starting centre backs, 2 starting midfielders, a right winger and a striker who can score guaranteed goals.
I'll believe it when I see it. They're giving Evans a new deal, that doesn't count lads. No fucking ambition.
The Southgate links make sense now. Terrify the fans so they'll be much more accepting once they announce ETH stays
