Thankfully Henry isn’t exactly in agreement
Henry eventually responded to my pressing on Liverpool. He made it clear that Werner’s plans for a New York game were “not something that I advocate or am particularly interested in”
I would really very much like that our team’s owners don’t say stupid shit like this.
By Laboured Go To PostEuropean fútbol is finished. Get rid of private ownership and implement 50+1.
By Laboured Go To PostWow more shit stirring from Tariq Panja. Sad!
By Laboured Go To PostThe Lads.Maybe an indication of what Southgate sees as his main 11.
Ofcourse when Bellingham comes in, would assume its for one of Palmer or Gordon
By KimoSan Go To PostI didn't watch the Bosnia match.
Is it Foden or Palmer in the 10?
Suspect it's interchangeable. But on the TV graphics it's Foden.
By KimoSan Go To PostI didn't watch the Bosnia match.Palmer played middle against Bosnia but Foden wasn’t playing.
Is it Foden or Palmer in the 10?
I know Southgate loves Saka but I do hope to atleast once see this front 4 play together.
‐-------------- Kane ------------
Foden - Bellingham - Palmer

If everyone is fit it seems like the only real competition to start is Mainoo/Gallagher and maybe one of Eze/Gordon/Palmer.
But I think I agree that I don't see any way he doesn't play Saka if he's healthy.
Ioannids injured in the shoulder after a few minutes in the field. Could have been the end of his possible transfer to us.
Just learned that Burger King is called Hungry Jack's in Australia. I'm apparently watching an Aussie stream. Interesting.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostIt’s coming home…Iceland flashbacks
By KimoSan Go To PostLeave Harry alone 😭Don't see anything wrong there. Nor with Foden except for the times when his side fade isn't done properly and has a soup bowlish effect.
By Killer7 Go To PostMainoo foden link ups are niceQuite surprising that a team with those two could be losing to Iceland of all teams. Who would have predicted that??
By sohois Go To PostQuite surprising that a team with those two could be losing to Iceland of all teams. Who would have predicted that??m8, you wanted Marcus Edwards over Palmer.
Feel like Foden struggles here because the 10 role he plays for England is very different from his City role. He's not the instinctive playmaker this role requires (and I actually have misgivings about Bellingham in this role for the same reason).
By FortuneFaded Go To Postm8, you wanted Marcus Edwards over Palmer.I'll want that again if Palmer carries on playing like this
By Laboured Go To PostThey've all gone into protect the hammys mode.Dont blame them, did the same after my gym session
Feels like this is just classic international football where the players clearly don't have the time to gel with one another.
Right before an international tournament…

Given the number of teams in our group that are going to do what Iceland did today, I am concerned by our full back situation. I would want Shaw and TAA for those types of teams. You can't play against a low block and have your full backs play as conservatively as Walker and Trippier did.
Think that game makes abundantly clear Trent should be starting, whether at RB or CM. Bellingham and Saka starting will help, but we’ve got very little creativity without him.
By n8 dogg Go To PostThink that game makes abundantly clear Trent should be starting, whether at RB or CM. Bellingham and Saka starting will help, but we’ve got very little creativity without him.I really don't think he can tbh, he's too weak defensively at RB (if we had a strong backline this wouldn't be as much of a problem) and he just doesn't look convincing at CB. I really like him, but we just don't have the strength in defence to support him imo.
Anyway, I really don't think these games tell us anything. Not ideal mental preperation, losing at home against Iceland, but we're a week out from the tournament absolutely none of those players are playing close to all out and risking an injury to try and win a friendly.
By Willkiller Go To PostUh ohhhhh, people have forgotten what pre-tournament friendlies are like againNot when it’s England, we haven’t.
By Scum Go To PostBack to Transfer Muppetry.Absolutely no chance anyone bids close to 40m for him.
But it would be nice
