By n8 dogg Go To PostSurely Eze doesn’t start. Now post the defence 😁
Rice - Gallagher - Bellingham
Saka - Kane - Foden
Sounds like Branthwaite is the last player to be cut.
I generally like the squad, but Bowen, Toney and Dunk can consider themselves all very lucky to be in there

De Bruyne on human rights in Saudi Arabia "Every country has its good & bad things. Some people will give examples of why you shouldn't go there, but you can also give them about Belgium or England. Everyone has less good points. Who knows, maybe they will tell you the flaws of the Western world."

I’m guessing Trippier-Guehi-Stones-Walker start it, and Shaw comes in if fit.
Concerns me. For all the Mags criticism, he has been routinely one of the best players in an England shirt in tournaments and a settled back 5 would help. Guehi is good - but no proper LB and no Maguire won’t help matters.

Feels a bit dumb having Watkins AND Toney. Would rather have brought Grealish than the latter.
That’s a mistake not taking Grealish imo. Despite a relatively poor season.
Southgate and his tendency to sit back and see what the other team does, not having Jack is one less potential get out of jail card.

We're really weak at striker going forward tbh...
What was the point of brining Grealish to the training squad, having him sub in on Monday, play well and then pick Bowen who played shit?
By FortuneFaded Go To PostWhat was the point of brining Grealish to the training squad, having him sub in on Monday, play well and then pick Bowen who played shit?I'd imagine their performances in training were more important than half an hour in a friendly
and I think will has hit on the big reason for Bowen: he's probably the 4th choice striker. There's a lot more cover for the other attacking positions
By Scum Go To PostSouthgate should have just picked his 26-person squad right from the start and be done with it.england loves the theater of it all
Grealish and Ward Prowse are both useful players that I’m surprised didn’t get taken. JWP can conjure magic out of a set piece, and Grealish will win you fouls late on in games to create those set pieces when you need it most. Given that international football tends to be lower scoring between the better teams, set piece specialists are a hot commodity.

By Laboured Go To PostWhat say you, n8 & Hixx? QFs? Winners?
I think my main problem with that squad list is they list Bellingham as a forward and for some reason that just makes me itch.

Unsettled defence and lack of cover for Rice = QF loss

Shaw just isn't even a concern, good he's going considering the lack of options but he has no time to get to match fitness anyway
