By Willkiller Go To PostI mean I spent what…13 years under Ashley? I've got very good at supporting the team, not the regime. It's really not hard, you gain nothing by blindly supporting the owners…so why do it?Ashley made a four million loss in the first 6 months of buying our stadium: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/mike-ashley-frasers-cbs-arena-29130235

By Laboured Go To PostI was on t' train so was randomly fixated on the bit Flutter posted. I mean, there's sometimes stuff you don't fully put in a claim because the document goes public and the optics are too horrible. But apparently not for City.To be fair, most people would assume or make you believe 10/10 of the top sponsors were UAE-based so I think maybe this part is not as bad sounding as you'd expect.
Obviously we can only sort of just sit back and watch what happens next.
By n8 dogg Go To PostRyan Sessegnon’s left Tottenham. Damn. Really didn’t work out for him.His last few years have been blighted by injury, there’s a solid player in there if he can stay fit, but it’s hard to trust him anymore
By Laboured Go To PostIt's always nice thinking about signing a gud player, before he signs for someone else.He was with Juni Calafat at Wembley. It's over.

Will Cunte remain through the end of August?
Very excited for ADL and Andonio. Maybe no European football means it works out well next year?
By Freewheelin Go To PostHe's 28 until he's 29.
The Leny Yoro stories are desperate attempts by Lille to get a fee for him before he leaves for free next year.
Separately, City face 115 charges of alleged rule-breaking related to financial fair play, with the long-awaited hearing taking place in November. The club deny all wrongdoing and, in his review, Mubarak expressed frustration with this case being referenced whenever City enjoy success.
“I think the referencing is always frustrating,” he said. “Having it being talked about the way it’s being talked about. I can feel for our fanbase, and everyone associated with the club, to have these charges constantly referenced.

With Klopp stepping down, the managerial landscape in the PL has become severely compressed, with a whole lot of decent but not proven winners, and then Pep Guardiola. Maresca and Arteta have won things under Pep, and Slot and Ten Hag have won things in Holland, but there’s no Mourinho, Klopp, Ancelotti types who have won all the biggest trophies.
It feels to me like the first time it’s been like this, or is my memory just failing?

There was a brief period after Ferguson retired when the only one was Wenger, the rest were Moyes, Rodgers, AVB, Pellegrini. Or was Mourinho already back at Chelsea?
edit: he was. Also had Bundesliga winner Felix Magath at Fulham

We have our new keeper. He was great against us in the Europa League matches for Roskow.
Debast is supposedly a done deal that's probably waiting to be announced in July and we trying to close Fotis Ioannidis soon.

More wonderful chapters of the entertaining comedy that is FC Porto these days.
After Sergio Conceição resigned yesterday, it's being reported that his former assistant manager Vitor Bruno has signed for 2 years to become Porto's manager and it should be announced in the next few hours. It will be interesting to see what happens because the squad love Conceição and Sergio feels betrayed by Bruno for taking the job, his son Francisco Conceição even made a post talking about this betrayal.
One of the reasons why Porto probably went with Bruno was because he was cheap as it's being reported that Pinto da Costa only left 8000€ in the club's bank accounts and they have to 15M€ until the end of the week.
Most likely, AVB will front the money himself, he already had to pay from his own pocket unpaid prize money to the squad and salaries for the workers.
Sergio Conceição isn't the only one leaving. Pepe isn't renewing his contract and is on his way out, the 41 year old has offers from other countries and wants to continue playing.
