Sancho was pretty bad tonight. PSG closed down the space far quicker than the last game and mostly kept him out of the game. Same issue he had in a lot of games for United. Just doesn't have the athleticism to get out tricky situation. Great footwork and dribbling at times, but got pressed out of the game.
Good for him that he's in a CL final, but I don't think Ten Hag was wrong to send him training with the u18's and I don't think he's proven that he would have been any better than what we've had since he left. Which hasn't been fantastic either.

What a player, and what a shame he went to Barca. Think we all kind of assumed that he'd fit them and Spanish football even better than he did Arsenal and the PL, but he didn't really. By the time he came back he was already into his physical decline iirc though he had the quality to give Chelsea one great season.
One of those players where I wonder if they think they made the right choice. Personally I feel like he somewhat ended up sacrificing being the best player he could have been in return for trophies, a bit like Grealish is now but to a lesser extent.
Cesc was an amazing footballer
Problem was Xavi Busquets and Iniesta were all even better. So his only position available was as false 9, which he did quite well imo. His connection with Messi was brilliant
