Looking like extra time in Marseille.
This West Ham game has been good entertainment after the Villa match drama.

A shit-on-the-day Fred is still better than this entire midfield lineup.
Tadic runs the ball into the corner, does a bunch of step-overs, passes it back to the winger. Rinse and fucking repeat. Deport.
Bring me De Rossi, markao.

Is the EPL a farmer’s league?
By Xpike Go To PostAhhh as we all predicted, Aston Villa is the only English club leftNever doubt Emery in European cup competitions.

man after the hatewatch buffet we've had this week there is zero doubt in my mind we are going to embarrass ourselves against Coventry this weekend.

We're merely the closing act for the week.
By KimoSan Go To PostMarseille through on penalties. All good takes.Roger Schmidt thinks he is Pep, only made 3 subs in the whole 120 minutes. Decided to take off their only striker on the pitch on the 60th minute and instead of putting one of the two very expensive strikers he had on the bench, he put on a offensive midfielder and moved Rafa up top for quick transitions, didn't worked. Only on the 102th minute did he decide to put on a striker again.
Di Maria played 120 minutes, he lost possession so many times that he is now the 3rd player who lost possession more times in the Europa League this season despite only entering the competition after the group stage. He also missed his penalty.
Schmidt had the balls to say in the press conference that he didn't have to justify anything about the game. Benfica has made the biggest investment in their history this season, spending around 100M€ (Transfermarkt has them spending more in other years but they also include what Benfica paid to the original club of players they sold, they have Darwin as costing 34M€ but they only paid 24M€ originally, the rest was sell on percentages) and now in the middle of April their season is practically over and without a trophy.
It's an absolute calamity of a season and questions will be asked about Schmidt's future. His relationship with fans his broken almost beyond repair, the locker room seems to be in ruins and his tactics aren't working.
Firing the German would seem like the logical thing to do but it would be too expensive (around 20M€) because Rui Costa renewed Schmidt's contract last season when they hadn't won anything as he wanted to show that Schmidt was the man to lead the project of the newly elected president.
9 days before Porto's presential elections, the current board pulled one of the most dodgy deals I ever saw.
They sold 30% of comercial revenue of Porto's stadium (corporate hospitality, sponsorship, box office, naming rights of the stadium and museum, non-sporting and concert events) for 25 years to Ithaka, a company that was created less than 2 months ago and with a capital of 3k€.
In exchange, Ithaka will pay Porto 35M€, invest 30M€ in improvements to the stadium and also work to improve the revenue of the stadium.
That's an absolute ridiculous deal that only proves how poor Porto are right now and it's absolutely irresponsible to make a deal that will have such a long impact in the future of the club less than 2 weeks before the elections.

Zidane, a step away from Bayern
As MD has learned, the Frenchman and the Bavarian club are very close to reaching an agreement
The renewal of Nagelsmann, the other great candidate, with Germany until 2026 paves out the arrival of Zizou to the Allianz

Last I heard Zidane was on a council estate in Blackburn living off benefits
