You’re in the denial phase right now, brother
Atlanta have been a bit shit to be going away with a 3 0 win. Picked a good game to just stink the place out
By n8 dogg Go To PostDe Rossi doing very well at Roma
10 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses (vs Inter, and Brighton in a 4-1 agg win)
By FootbalIFan Go To PostFeel bad for himA sad state of affairs.
He's done great given circumstances and still stressed out enough to decide to leave
Lewa(?!), raphinha(?!), gundo and the CB goats were great vs PSG. Second leg will be close
I don't think he can cope with the criticism he gets at Barça.
Honestly, look at where we are now compared to a few years ago. We leveled up.

That was a bad lineup. with all those players back though you won't need to do that again
By Willkiller Go To PostThis probably helps your title run imo.Just get the feeling that our momentum was being propped up by the narrative, and everyone knows that they can get a result against us and aren't likely to get battered.

Not too bothered by being smashed out of the EL (shame we have to fanny about with a second leg though) but I think this will be another knock so soon after the last two. There aren't enough games left in the season to recover from a dip, especially with City and Arsenal's form.
By NiceGuy Go To PostStarting to think we might not win the titleYou're free of Europe, while City and Arsenal are in extremely demanding ties with little rest, and would potentially canibalize themselves if they qualify to next round.
Probably yours to lose now imo

Palace, Fulham and Everton are games to recover from a dip in. Win all 3 and you're at the very least joint top with 4 games to go.

And I expect us to beat everyone at home even when we're shit.
Palace at home is the ideal fixture to have next, regardless of the result our performance will say a lot about whether we actually have it in us to win the league.

That narrative is becoming quite funny.
Liverpool throwing the Europa, like any proper club should do.
They couldve done it earlier to get the players fit, innit

I hate it
I see Pool are purposely dumping themselves out of the Europa to focus on the Prem… Smart move by Klopp.

Proceeds to only win the league cup.
I wish we could score a fucking goal. We’ve gone into one of those goal ruts where we score the odd unlikely chance and miss all the easy ones. Players are over complicating things and it looks like they just assume the next chance will come so it’s alright to let one pass them up. Then they fluff the next chance and the one after that.
Not that Atalanta didn’t beat us on merit. They were great, we were not. But there were still moments where we could have, and should have scored, and cut the deficit down to 1 goal rather than 3

I'm totally chill. When Gyokeres and Pote are added to the frontline and Inacio to the back in the summer, we'll be fine.
None of our forwards look particularly pissed off with themselves when they miss a massive chance unless we're either losing or in the last 15 minutes. Not sure it actually matters (might even be an advantage when things are going well), but it annoys me when we're in a goalscoring rut. Seems strange to say that about games where we've scored 3 and 2 at Old Trafford, but those goals and more really should have been piled on in fast enough succession to kill the games.
Darwin's response to his miss was what you normally see when players get tackled as they're taking a shot, not skewing a one-on-one wide because they've for some reason decided to try and clip it through a tiny gap into the near post.

Gasperini’s stint at Atalanta is one of the great modern coaching achievements, right? Look at how consistent his league positions are. Incredible stuff.

😂 stop trying to wind up Martins. He’s already having to deal with the dilemma of a beloved Sporting personality possibly moving to a club other than Man Utd

He’s done incredible work. I’ve heard he doesn’t speak much English if at all, which I imagine is the reason you don’t see journos from Liverpool, Chelsea and United all leaking stories about him.
His setup countered ours 100%. It was a thorough Allardyce style out-tacticking.

Just done some Wiki research
In the five seasons before he joined:
12th, 15th, 11th, 17th, 13th
In his seasons:
4th, 7th, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 8th, 5th and currently 6th (and still in both cups).
Position in wage bill table in those seasons:
13th, 14th, 11th, 13th, 10th, 9th, 9th and currently 8th.
Constant overachievement.
