De Zerbi will be managing Getafe before he gets anywhere near a top 8 team in England.

A draw that feels like a win. Two goals in one minute to grab a very important point away at Porto.
5 point advantage with 3 games to go, we just need 4 points.

Feel like their injury list has gone under the radar (as too has the fact their first choice midfield were sold this year). Mitoma and Estupinian have played less than 20 PL games. March and Enciso less than 10.
De Zerbi hasn’t helped himself at times - far too much rotation and an admirably naive commitment to youth - but Brighton seem to be a victim of increased expectations which I think is a little unfair. This would be their third best PL season ever, with a European run and the aforementioned squad issues. That’s a good season.
I’d like to see him do one more at Brighton before he goes on to something ‘bigger’, but the narrative seems to have flipped on him recently when twelfth with that squad is still good.
Wild 4 minutes.
Edit:

I thought it was just 1st - 4th that the "Top 6" are fighting over, plus the three teams in 18th, 19th and 20th fighting relegation? 🤔

Watching last night's MoTD. The run that Isak goes on for Newcastle's first goal is so good. Runs around the defender, then back between the other CB to get back on side and then runs straight on to the through ball from Murphy to finish and get the goal. Just awesome CF play that we don't see often enough.

We are already qualified for the Champions League so if we win the Cup, 4th in the league gets Europa League.

wouldn’t surprise me if he follows slot to liverpool.
one year left on his contract so he’d be cheap. plays a lot as an inverted rb, but is also very good as a cb.

Yeah I’m not surprised at all by that. The recent spat with Klopp notwithstanding, Salah is a positive influence on the team to have in the dressing room. He will absolutely be back next season. Recency bias is spoiling the perspective on what has been another very productive season for him.
will be interesting to see how slot handles players like salah who throw a fit when they're not playing.
he's only worked with kind and sweet lads at feyenoord.

I would argue that he still has value for us. Not really into the idea of selling off footballers of his quality because we’re afraid of his value dropping.
We live in a world where Mudryk cost like 90m. Replacing Salah’s contribution with anything approaching confidence would cost 100m+

Mo cost you 30 million and you can still get 80 million for him. I say cash out and replace him. Take it from supporters of a club that hold on to players for far too long.

Still can't get over last night. 59 seconds between both Gyokeres goals, that was fucking insane. The loss was looking inevitable and in less than a minute we were drawing 2-2. If it wasn't for Edwards stupid red card, I think we could have won, Porto were shocked.
By Vini.lad Go To PostMan United won't give ETH another go, will they? They need Ashworth to tell them no, unfortunately he's quite busy in his garden
I'm reasonably confident ETH won't stay on but I'm a bit concerned it'll happen too late for us to get in someone who is actually good.
Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund mentioned as players United will not accept offers for. Presumably Bruno is off limits too. Maybe Dalot as well.
I start struggling after that. Martinez is brilliant, but has essentially missed a year of football through various injuries. Onana is great too provided you actually want to build from the back. I'd definitely keep them, but both have questions over them.

Man United now: EVERYTHING MUST GO
Man United in three months time: Only 20m for Anthony? He's worth at least three times that! Let's offer him a new contract to protect his value

A spending cap is stupid unless it’s ridiculously high. What’s the point in handicapping themselves when no other leagues have that. In American sports it’s only done to suppress wages and get the owners more money, but I don’t think a football club is exactly a profitable entity.
By Laboured Go To PostThis will just hurt English clubs further in continental competitions. The FA already does nothing to assist them in terms of scheduling. I understand the concept and of course it can help rein in spending, but tying it to the lowest is very risky and the the product will be harmed.

It would be north of 500m this year. Our 22/23 spend was about 220m. It's a pretty high level all things considered.

The premier league is so much larger than its competition that even with a cap the clubs will have no trouble outspending basically everyone on the continent.
A key reason for the PL being bigger is that it is a more competitive league with more balance between teams. A spending cap helps maintain this balance, meaning the PL will likely continue to grow larger and the cap will continue to outstrip the capabilities of continental teams
