Might be the next bold Dutch manager, but on the charisma spectrum he is on the other side of the scale than 10H. Really like him, general good guy and comfortable in front of cameras/press conferences, calmly answering even the dumbest question and explaining his side. Never know how that personality comes across in another country, culture, language but I think he will be fine. (as long as he does not meet Mourinho)
Feyenoord was a club on their last legs (OK been that for ages) coached by Advocaat and were a proper bus parking counter footballing team as there was not enough quality, they said. He made a modern footballing from the back, high intensity pressing, when possible dominating footballing side out of it. After successful seasons and good run in Europe, lost all quality players (debts at club, every euro was welcome) and managed to build up a team again with a low budget for another run.
Great club and amazing job for him, but taking over from someone that was so present at a club for a long time cannot be easy. But if he can stay himself even under the pressure from a big club, I think the press will like him and at least give him some time to do it and he will be OK.
My biggest surprise with the Slot appointment is his relative lack of experience (<5 years?) as a manager. Gonna be an interesting summer.
