Already can’t wait for the start of next season.
ETH in charge with a squad that still has players in from the Van Gaal era.

Salah looks finished, hopefully Edwards won't mind taking the heat for shifting him to the Saudis for 100 mil.
Not like this Pool, not like this
And amazing that even in a match were Manu dominates mostly, it still almost goes to the wire. Nothing easy this season and the year off Amad wins starts now.

Oh well, our turn to play Sheff Utd on Saturday!
Had a meeting that ran the length of the game more or less -- came out and checked the score and saw 2-0 in stoppage and couldn't believe it. You love to see it.
Shame I wasn't able to enjoy the moments Sheffield Utd were up too!

Fernandes is fucking brilliant. Our best player of the last ten years and utterly wasted his prime here.
Problem is Salah has had form like this before. At his age now you have to wonder if he's actually done or not.

Klopp was always super loyal to his team and kept a lot of players for too long, I think with him going Liverpool won't miss the chance to cash in

Turkey has given up.

It’s almost a relief now not caring what City do in their games.
Still, we have once again underperformed our xG. Scoring goals is hard I guess. Just wanted Slot to have a little positive momentum to start his first season. Seems like that won’t be happening.

That game reminded me of our performances last season albeit Sheffield United were terrible. Good retention of possession (at times) with Eriksen playing deepish and acting as main recycler. Bruno staying forward to play the killer pass/shoot.
But without Martinez we still look poor at playing from the back so we can't build attacks and we also put ourselves under too much pressure when being pressed. And with Eriksen starting we simply get overrun in midfield.
Can understand why we changed tactics this season, If you struggle to play from the back then it makes sense to bypass that stage and get it quickly to your forwards which is clearly our strongest area.
But we utterly fucked it in the transfer market. Needed to replace Eriksen and Casemiro with players that can cover the ground we leave open in midfield when our players commit forward.
So no actual progress from last season then. Like last summer we've to pray Martinez regains fitness and that we get defenders and midfielders who are comfortable on the ball.
