People please, I don’t have a PS5 and the discussion in the main gaming thread has me considering some financially unwise purchases.
I hope you’re all enjoying the game though. Looks great, hope to play it soon.

By C4-621 Go To PostAnyone playing in Graphics mode?
The Yurt I knew would not care for such trivial matters.
By HottestGrapes Go To PostThe Yurt I knew would not care for such trivial matters.I don't lol I keep reading that its the recommended setting for some reason
On the subway and just saw it advertised.
Argh, didn’t know it was out.
Played the first one with Korean menus, so might just buy this on the EU store even though it will be a bit more expensive.

you don't. You weaken him by finding intel on him in the world. It's ubisoft af and therefor easy and very meaningless.
By Hentai Samurai Go To PostFuckI have no idea, he was probably weakened by one level but my party wiped and Tifa managed to survive and clutch it out with Limit and a summon lmfao. Got lucky she had Wind already
🤣🤣🤣🤣

chocobo racing is proof that god is real

I’m downloading the ps5 version of 7R because Rebirth doesn’t recognize the PS4 data until it’s been uploaded to the PS5 7R game .
What a cluster fuck
Also PSN servers fucking blow
I have 1g fiber and 90% signal strength and it tests at 120mbps but actual download is more like 25mbps. My phone, Apple TV , iPads etc all scream
I’ll have to wait for my kids soccer game before I can play today

By Perfect Blue Go To PostI’ve only played an hour or so but what is that prologue section?A sign of the mid to come.
At least there's no chadley or mai
By C4-621 Go To PostAnyone playing in Graphics mode?
I swapped between modes and stuck with performance. Camera moves fast enough to make it choose for me
Really hope this diverging timeline shit doesn't destroy my ability to keep up with the basic story. Seems a bit odd to frontload the Nibelheim twist stuff (assuming they do, I'm about to meet Tifa on the roof and she's already made it pretty obvious), almost like they've just catered to everyone who has prior knowledge of the original game when it would have been a cool story beat for players who don't if it had been spread across the game.
Haven't got back into the swing of the combat yet, felt like I was fumbling through the stances and menus.
Whoever greenlit the mako vacuum, valve wheel and the glacial pace of the forced slow movement sections in the prologue needs to be part of the next wave of industry lay-offs. Choosing to open your game with that absolute shite is beyond me, especially the first one.

the forced slow movement in the prologue is weird as hell yeah. Like I dont mind it usually, but in an open area segment?

Game has you protect a dog as it runs across the length of junon to deliver money to someone.

By DY_nasty Go To PostI'm not missing anything big by not importing saves right?you'll have to play through the demo section again

By DY_nasty Go To PostI'm not missing anything big by not importing saves right? Two summons
Edit: wait I dont know if we're supposed to get summons that early? I feel SICK

Leviathan and Ramuh summons, plus a moogle charm and a bunch of potions.
By Patriotism Go To Post"We took the witcher 3 as inspiration for side quests "I’m already sold on the game, but this is expediting plans.

Just hit Costa del Sol. I take back what I said. Video games are good, actually.
By DY_nasty Go To PostAre any of those things good or is it chocobo materia tierI think Ramuh is fairly useful, but you definitely don't need him.
This game randomly looks like shit lol I see nothing has changed
Still fun but wow

texture wise it can all look a bit like ass up close, but I guess something's gotta give. They gave us some great vistas to look at though.
but damn, they really did a great job adding characterization into the world. Mt. Corel impressed me a lot.
Actually didnt mind that quest. Not my favorite thing to do in a game, but the battle theme during that journey is such a banger.

It's really weird how flat the lighting looks in certain rooms, and how passable at least it looks in others
The bedroom in the Nidhogg Inn looks like a late PS3 tech demo, then you go to Shinra Mansion thirty seconds later and it looks like it's from a different game

I'm about 15 hours in and really enjoying it.
Combat is far better for me than FF16's. There's more variety in spells, summons, abilities etc. I don't think the game explained the Synergy system very well, but once you get to grips with it your combat options expand even more.
Just started chapter 3. Haven't completed everything in the preceding chapter, but seen enough up know the mission structure and writing around side stories is pretty good. The proto relic hunt was a highlight.
Soundtrack is excellent as are the visuals. Story is pretty lighthearted so far, with more serious biya interspersed throughout. Think the plot and side quests mesh pretty well tonally so far.

By Patriotism Go To PostLmao there's a bald bar in junonfinally a place for batong
So there's been a bunch of times the crew could solve some of their serious problems and been like "nah next time."
By C4-621 Go To PostThe minigames are getting dumber and more surreal
Excellent
I prefer the costa-del-sol Queef's Blood games to the actual card game.
