By Laboured Go To PostOh yeah, forgot he was not actually banned until late October.I think they've demonstrated zero tolerance quite clearly, unless you can point to any cases where players have been found to have breached betting rules and not be banned for it? In this case, he's already serving a ban that has kept him out of the English game for more or less the entire season. In Toney's case he wasn't even allowed to train...I don't think players will be signing up to Paddy Power now the FA (may) have decided not to extend a 10 month worldwide ban.
I think a new ban would send a message of zero tolerance to other players. I'm not sure I like the message that "he's had enough punishment already" sends to other possible repeat offenders, or indeed any player contemplating doing it.
I don't think it helps Tonali but that's not what primarily this is about.

Alonso expected to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, meaning Ruben Amorim and Roberto de Zerbi are leading candidates for Anfield job
By WoodenLung Go To Postplease for the love of god get de zerbi
with the proper budget, he will outdo pep.
i believe in him.
By Punished Go To PostAmorim has been talking a lot of next season, mentioning loaned out and young players who will be in the main squad.
He seems happy here, is paid pretty well and has young kids. Family is very important to him and he tries to shield them from the spotlight.
Liverpool would be both a dream and nightmare job, following Klopp is going to be an almost impossible task.
By Scum Go To PostAbolish footballdo you know about erling the MERCENARY?
he wants to impress the real Madrid to get even more money for shooting a ball at a goal.
US Soccer has never had this issue because all their best players are gay and banging each other. No better way to build team unity.

That big rugby star is being signed by the Chiefs. We'll see if he manages an actual roster slot come the season but very cool.

Amorim sounds good to me, he fits the profile of manager that we should be looking at, if he’s intent on staying at Sporting then more power to him.
I don’t agree that following Klopp will be that hard. Yes he’s a generational manager but he’s leaving behind a good squad, and the club is setup well with Edwards and Hughes to support whoever the new head coach ends up being. It isn’t a Wenger or Ferguson situation, both managers who were scraping results with threadbare squads toward the end of their managerial stints.
And this is more copium for sure, but I think that Liverpool as a club is a good, stable environment for an ambitious manager. It’s a very long-term focused club that focuses spending on facilities and youth, without any threat of toxic player-power, with good spending power without (so far) any threat of violating league regulations.

Well he’s (apparently) on the short list too. But who knows what’s actually happening behind the scenes.

Klopp is squeezing more out of this team than I think anyone else possibly could, absolutely no one expected a sustained title charge this season.

feels like the final of the premier league.
Really? I got no hype.

Don’t we usually score more away from home this calendar year?

Welcome to Liverpool, Ruben!
Leicester were 17 points clear of Leeds in Jan. They’re now only a point ahead of 3rd, could be an all time throw

By Scum Go To PostInvalid Social Media URLI don't get why he's making this decision so early. He could win a treble at Neverkusen this year. There'd be no reason to stay and he can have Madrid, Liverpool, and Bayern go in a bidding war for him in the summer.

There'd be no reason to stay and he can have Madrid, Liverpool, and Bayern go in a bidding war for him in the summer. The reason would be to see what he can do with the team in the CL. A deep run with Leverkusen would be legendary and likely not an opportunity he’ll have again, with that size club as he’s clearly destined for the top from here on out.

I've been paying a bit of attention to Leicester due to Fatawu and they have been shocking.
If they miss promotion this season, they are on for a rough couple of years.
