Would look better with Kane tbh. Would be able to move into space Kane vacates.
Can’t be happy tbh. Alarm goes off for the 9:45 change and feed soon. Then theoretically two and a half hours of sleeping baby, which will actually be one hour once he’s hiccuped and cried.
Fucking Jude.
Fucking Jude.
Midfield 3 of Rice, Mainoo and Bellingham looked decent with some nice interchange. Belgium offered fuck all that match.
Need to pray we get a strong back line back for the Euros though. Not winning shit if Dunk, Konsa and Chilwell are starting.

'Same fucking bottle.'
N8, I’ll give you some real advice. I recommend getting a carrier regardless but I would also use it to out the babies to sleep. They’ll typically sleep longer if they feel your body warmth. You’ll be hands free and be able to go about gaming.

Now i wanna feed him so we stay to schedule and he won’t wake up. Can’t win.
Dan James lmao.
Imagine having to have Danny Ward in goal and then Dan James taking the fifth pen. Unfortunate.

Mbappe, KDB and Messi better.
As soon as Dan James stepped up take that pen I knew he was going to fuck it.
Ah well. When do the WC qualifiers start.

It’s a pain but enjoy it while you can. In less than two years you’ll be wishing all he did was sleep, cry and shit.

Pope being injured is disappointing; would have had a shout over Pickford playing at the top level (and I think he is better).
Got to assume the back four picks itself once fit (but pray to god Tomori and Guehi are back ups instead of Dunk). James, Trent and Trippier should be back too. Could take Colwill and play him at LB and let him move inside. Would probably rather that than Chilwell.
Think going gung-ho with Rice, Maddison and Bellingham is asking for trouble. An in-form Phillips offers balance, but given his issues I’d go Mainoo or Trent as they offer more of the right profile.
Three of the front four are also default options, and it’s left-wing that is a choice to make. I can see why Foden would be the choice, but I actually would love to see Anthony Gordon out there to stretch the game. Rashford and Bowen as subs, Foden more of an alternative to Saka or Bellingham.
Think up front I’d rather Watkins than Toney, but not entirely sure why. Not like they’ll play much anyway unless it’s dead rubbers / Kane is injured.
Pickford (Pope)
Walker (Trippier)
Stones (Tomori)
Maguire (Guehi)
Shaw (Colwill)
Rice (Henderson/Maddison)
Mainoo (Alexander-Arnold)
Saka (Palmer)
Bellingham (Foden)
Gordon (Rashford)
Kane (Watkins)

I dont know, I think Rice, Maddison, Bellingham can work.
Southgate being risk adverse wont do it tho

Just as long as Rashford doesn't start
I wish we'd experimented with CB pairings more, it feels like we've wasted all opportunities to try things out so we're stuck with a very likely Maguire pick but as we've seen....that's going to be an issue. I also think that has a knock on effect of making Pickford less attractive as number 1, yes Pickford's distribution is much better than Pope's...but do we want to be playing out from the back with Maguire in there? I wouldn't.

Just take Ramsdale as backup keeper. Not playing for his club didn't stop Southgate picking Maguire.

What CB pairings would you have liked to have seen?
By n8 dogg Go To PostStones + Tomori/GuehiBranthwaite should be getting some minutes based on his season too, if you're good enough...you're good enough. CB pairings are as much about chemistry as anything else, so i'd have liked to have seen it. Maguire just shouldn't be near that team, doubly so when you consider some of the balls Pickford will play to the CBs.

Chemistry reason is the absolute justification for Mags/Stones at this point.
There's a difference between the best England XI and squad, and the best England XI and squad for a Southgate side. The two would probably look very different for me, but there's no real point speculating on the former.
I don't really keep up with injuries, is James expected to be out? Pope?
The 23 that Southgate should pick:
Pickford, Pope, Ramsdale
James, White, Stones, Gomez, Colwill, Tomori, Shaw, Chilwell
Rice, Ward-Prowse, Bellingham, Jones, Maddison, Eze
Kane, Watkins, Saka, Bowen, Gordon, Marcus Edwards
The 23 that Southgate will pick:
Pickford, Ramsdale, who cares
Walker, Trippier, Stones, Maguire, Gomez, Konsa, Shaw, Chilwell
Rice, Mainoo, Henderson, Trent, Bellingham
Kane, Toney, Saka, Foden, Rashford, Palmer, Gordon

By FortuneFaded Go To PostYou think that Foden shouldn't go to the Euros? There'd be mutiny on the streets.Who said he couldn't go? I'm sure he could afford to purchase tickets given his wages.
