By Plasma Go To PostHas Rio Ferdinand been doing drugs again? Is this about his quip of Arteta to Man Utd?
Plasma, pls. He knew what he was doing. Going full social media is the way to engage followers of players and managers in this day & age.
By Cleff Go To PostLove himCan’t stand the writing style in these Players’ Tribune pieces. Just awful
Speaking of Rashford, I was having a few scoops in Laverys last night. They sell "Laverys: Extra Pissed" shirts. Wonder did he buy one.

pathetic performance from the lads.
groningen did well, though.
By bud Go To Postpathetic performance from the lads.Started well, the longer the match went on the more the level dropped

Shocking tackle on Stengs, ref not even giving a foul lol
PEDRO GONÇALVES!!!! What a cross from Hjulamnd and Gonçalves shows up on the far post go head it home.
Doing some scouting work ahead of the quarter final match next month. Now I knew Steve Bull was prolific, but scoring over 100 goals over two season is ridiculous:
I knew Wolves had striker problems recently, but I didn't realise how bad it was:
Those are the top scorers over the past three seasons. Bear in mind, this is goals in all competitions. Podence scored 2 pl goals in 21/22.

Shame we aren't going in to the break winning 2-0 because Edwards is clearly a Spurs academy player that isn't used to being in semi finals and the pressure got to him.
Really great first half from us.

By Laboured Go To PostThe final stage of being broke: becoming a drop-shipper.I do wonder sometimes why the top clubs haven't tried this before.
The cost of these shirts to manufacture is so low, that I imagine even if Barca sell fewer than half the shirts they did under Nike, they're probably coming out ahead. I imagine most of the shirts are sold because of the Barca badge too, so I wouldn't expect much of a fall off
I disagree, I think it would be fraught with a large amount of risk, diffculty and a huge amount of additional effort and cost without any of the required expertise. And that's without considering the effect of the lack of Nike co-branding, quality assurance and brand protection processes.

Same reason Colombia rely on Mexico for distribution expertise I guess.
By JesalR Go To PostI do wonder sometimes why the top clubs haven't tried this before.Managing a global supply chain is an extraordinary complicated endeavour. There's a reason why sports apparel companies are much larger than the individual clubs they rely on

Just for conversation sake they wouldn't need something the size or scale of Nike tbh. I can't imagine it would be impossible outsource some sort of supply chain in 12 months and another year to iron out the kinks. Think time and effort is a big deterrent but if you are a big club, doing millions in shirt sales, that's billions in potential revenue.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostGyokeres said after the match that he would like to stay at Sporting one year.(Meaning this year)
3.5M€ for him was the bargain of the decade. Probably my MVP, the man was everywhere, defending, attacking.

Too much talk on Gyokeres and not enough about Amorim. Talk is floating around regarding Liverpool trying to snag him this summer.
One of the things Klopp has done for us is made us an attractive place for players who want to work with such a legendary manager. I wonder who will be able to better replicate that effect: Amorim or Alonso.

By Meier Go To PostGoing to be in Japan from 3/14-3/27 on vacation (itinerary is pretty locked in) and then will be returning from 5/7-6/8 to help with a study abroad course.. I'll have some free days here and there but it will mostly just be like living there for work. Following that though we're going to Korea from 6/8-6/15. Open to suggestions from Shanks especially for Korea!
Nice, check your DM.
By Oddinho Go To PostToo much talk on Gyokeres and not enough about Amorim. Talk is floating around regarding Liverpool trying to snag him this summer. For that aspect, Alonso without question. The name alone has a prestige from the playing days that Amorim just doesn't have, does anyone remember Amorim?

And that's before you factor in he's very likely to topple Bayern and maybe do it unbeaten, and possibly win the Europa and the Pokal
By Hentai Samurai Go To Postwhat's scum got to do with it?what's scum, but a second-hand emotion?
Gyokeres scored in his first 3 games against the rest of the top 3 in Portugal, last player who did that was Lemos from Porto in 70/71.

Well with Amorim you will need to give him time because there will be culture shock, the league is much more competitive, and the British media will dog pile on him really quickly. He’s not an hard ass like Klopp either.
