Nose connected to 1st plane, air intake no more underbite but midwing like roof and winglets top air intake. Sidepot bigger undercut and more waterslide inside and Mercedes W13 like top engine cover, rest hard to see.
Common, Lewis had one childhood dream and that was Senna/McLaren and he talked about his entire career.
Later on in his career he talked about Ferrari and it would have been nice if. But his recent comments are nothing more than a footballer kissing the badge after transfer and why not do some pr.

Haas VF24 on track first time, filming day today.
Williams spotted, late but they made it on time and also Alpine on track. Looks like Williams is using last years Mercedes suspension, similar way Visa RB does with RBR. New parts arrive late and if you have to fit that in the rest of your design, it might be better to work with year old parts.
And Helmut had an interview yesterday at Servus.Tv and RBR20 is indeed going more Merc w13/14. Not as radical as in zero-pods, but probably as small as possible around side-pot (midwing) area. Small revolution, instead of just an evolution he called it.

Helmut Marko hat im Gespräch mit ServusTV nun auch offiziell bestätigt, dass Red Bull bei den Seitenkästen in eine ähnliche Richtung wie Mercedes in der Vergangenheit gegangen ist. "Es ist mehr als eine Evolution. Es ist eine kleine Revolution", so Marko über den RB20.
Die eigene Lösung sei in diesem Jahr "nicht so extrem" wie bei Mercedes in der Vergangenheit, betont er zwar, gesteht aber auch, dass man "von der Idee her in die ähnliche Richtung" wie das Team aus Brackley damals gegangen sei.

Teams collect their long-run data differently, so some end up doing more push laps. RBR always on a new set does a push-slow-push, before lap through pit, start practice and a long-run. Were Merc/McL/Fer often on a new set directly go through the pit, do a practice start and begin their long-run (no extra heat cycle), so as result Max did that time later on in the day. Having said that, it was still 7/8 tenths on same time on track with Lando/Carlos (7ths on Charles morning). All teams were a lot faster than day 1 last year, problem was that Max was also 1.5 secs faster so hard to see last year gap (0.4 race pace avg) been closed a lot if at all. (or worse)
But main take away D1, all cars look a lot better than last year, rear end far more compliant for most cars. Last year only AM and RBR were capable of doing long-runs without to much drop off, now all (top)teams managed that. Only Williams with technical probs, fuel pomp in the morning and also something mechanical (PU/Gearbox) for Logan in afternoon.

OK C4 tire (he was similar to Lando on c3), but do not put to much weight on a single day of testing. All cars look better than last years, so wait till Q3 next Saturday.
Full day 2 times and laps: Set on different compounds (Sainz/Ric c4, Sergio/Lewis/Lando c3) and different time of day, so take with .......
Lewis in last hour car looked to me like it was running to low to the ground, based on amount of sparks. But maybe they just can get away with it with this car, lets see tomorrow with George if its the same. But handling looked lot better than during last years test.
Sainz race sim tire wear looked far better under control than last year. Maybe we get few more tomorrow as comparison, but looked good.

- RBR, or better Max looked good from start, pace and long-runs, still the driver to beat. Sergio did not look as comfortable, but he generally takes a bit more time to get up to speed. Different direction with car, they must be happy as enough room for development now.
- Ferrari, Closest in speed to Max, with huge improvement in their race pace. Started end last year with the new floor (thx Sergio) and looks like they have made another big step forward. Don't think they are that far off, few tenths, but with unknown engine fuel/modes we have to wait a week.
- McLaren, Lando always was close to the Ferrari's when on track at the same time, but they had a few to many issues and did least amount of laps from top teams. Its not a McLaren track based on last years performances, so think they are happy with another big step forward, they just would have loved to have done a few more laps to dial in the car a bit more.
- Mercedes, car behaviour improved specially their rear end, just do not know if they have enough overall load. Long-runs looked OK, not to much drop-off but always bit slower. They do now have a direction to build up on, instead of fixing issues, so they probably also happy.
- Aston, a bit like RBR. OK in Fernando's hands but Lance?? Don't think they have enough speed to trouble those directly behind RBR, more were they ended last year. Lance seams to struggle a bit more with car than Fernando, both short and long-runs.
- RB, small step up from last year, were they ended pace wise. So behind the RBR chasers and maybe chance to pick-up something if any of those 3 teams (Fer/McL/Merc) hit some probs
- Sauber, did put on some softer tires in the end and first time they look to have bit of pace (3/4 tenths of Merc). Need to see some long-run data to see if they closed the gap to Alpine/RB and are part of that tier 3 group
- Alpine, hardest to read for me. New rear end car and do not think they understand it completely yet. Track like this it shows and feel they need some time to get to cars potential, does not look like a q3 car at the moment.
- Williams, car finished late and that showed on track, least amount of laps and with their design direction change a team that needed them the most. They seam happy with the base, they just need time to develop it but feels like q1 car right now.
- Haas, spend most of the time doing long-runs to find a better race pace than last year and think they did that. Problem for them with rest finding more pace is do they have enough load on their car and doubt that.
