Dont think Lando did much wrong. To pass Max you gotta be agressive. Max was already over the top defending, then his move took Norris out.

Lando had much better pace with the McLaren but all he could manage was a few divebombs to go past. Should have gotten much more out of the car to cleanly overtake. The final move was admittedly doubtful from max, kept the door firmly shut on the edge. But lando’s attempts to pass Max were pretty poor.

That dive up turn 3 when you're already on b&w flag for track limits was the most brain dead move this season.

Max is an animal, to take an win away from him you gotta be just as tough. In the end Max was the one that made the biggest mistake.
No driver keeps trying to get out of the way if you get dive bombed every lap. But at the same time Lando had to try it there, so do understand him as well.
Longer it went on you knew they would hit each other and in the end that exactly happened. Last one wasn't the worst, seams Max went fraction to wide opening up the corner as much as possible.

Lando figured out a few laps before that staying wide t3 to switch back was the move to get him into t5.

You’d say if Lando would have stayed a bit further behind going into T3 he would have the better run up to T4 including DRS with no chance for max to make a return move. The car had the pace
Max got lucky a few times getting DRS from lapped cars at key moments too tbf. Still, exciting for us.
If Lando tries it outside T4 and isn't far enough ahead than I'm pretty sure he ends in the gravel trap.
So trying T3 isn't that strange, but bombing every lap bit much. But hey, if rules allow it why not.
In the end if stewards give track limits pen quicker we would not be treated to those extra fun laps.

Looking at it in slow-mo it's probably nothing more than a racing incident. But because they were at it for a while and there was damage you get 10 secs, lap one not even investigated probably.

Honestly having seen it a few more times it wasn't that bad into T3. Driving Norris onto the grass going down the straight was way worse.

I think you see that squeeze 10x a race every week but they dont wipe each other out.
I know Ollie did well in Saudi, but on the low categories, there's like 5 guys that I would pick in front of him for a f1 seat.

To be fair to him, when he got the opportunities in F1 he took them, so in that way deserved.
But it's the problem with Jr drivers contracted to a team so early, pool to pick one out from is smaller for specific seat. And also if your aligned team has no seat for you are fucked, no matter how well your did in your Jr career (the exceptional talents will of course always shine enough).

Don't see a reason why this wouldn't be another McLaren or better Lando vs Max. RBR20 was slightly better in the fast corners in Spielberg, so maybe tiny advantage RBR (downforce efficiency still top). Other hand, the tire wear control, specially end stint, looked better on the McLaren last few races, so should/could be close again.
Mercedes and Ferrari have been very close behind those two, so I expect another "who wins quali" has the slight advantage over the other weekend.
Best of the rest between Alpine (harder for them, more PU power required here) and RB (not just high speed corners (weakness for them)) . So could bring Haas and Aston closer to them, but they also have weaknesses on this track. so not gonna call that

really wet this morning in Silverstone, F3 race moved to later in the day. For F1 it was a wet track but slowly drying, until final minutes were we got a bit of rain again. (only laps on inters)
Looks like we have had most of the rain for today, so Q might be dry or drying track. (right now F2 raining hard) Tomorrow however a lot more rain expected again so race might be wet again.
