By Laboured Go To PostYeah it had to be corrected because the power targets are EVEN HIGHER THAN IN THE ORIGNAL TWEET!valid excuse to upgrade PSU.
and might as well build a whole new rig with it if im being honest.
Zen 5 has been such a fumble Arrow Lake is actually starting to look pretty good, if all these leaked benches are to be believed.
AL vs. 9xxxX3D, solid time to be an upcoming cpu upgrader.

On the plus-ish side ... prices on the used market are fucked up as well, should be able to extract a nice chunk of moolah from the 4080.
By HottestGrapes Go To PostThat RTX 5000 series is gonna be priced from £1200 and upThey're going to price the cards at their respective model numbers
By Lego Go To PostPC sounding good right about nowAnd you get something that the PS5 Pro doesn't have, PS3 back compatibility.
I don't know what to do with my PC. It's still fine for most games. I don't feel like the 5080 will really be £1000 better than what I've got.

Otherwise, you are upgrading for little benefit.
Goddamn, Star Wars Outlaws' (semi-)interiors look fucking pristine on ultra with RTXDI. That's how you do lighting.
Snowdrop ftw, long may it live.

New Assassin's Creed game looks like ass imo. Although I think that might be an art problem.
By Zabojnik Go To PostPeople out there still running Windows with core isolation enabled. What does that means

Figured my PSU is the reason for random shutdowns and now in the market for a new PSU. Shouldn't have trusted the shopkeeper when he said my old one was good enough for a 4090.
By JesalR Go To PostWhy does Mark always have you boys on tiltIt's a joke. I love the guy and legit think both direct storage (niche and not a very useful or even needed feature as it is in its current form on PC) and now AMD's upcoming ML upscaling and RT advancements would lag even further behind Nvidia's, if it wasn't for Sony's involvement.
I mean, I don't have to think it, Cerny outright confirmed it. Goated individual.

By Zabojnik Go To PostDo you know what you're getting? 1000W?Probably. Doesnt make sense to have this tank of a GPU and skim on the PSU, especially when I'm using it for work.
By reilo Go To Postexcuse me, how many ramsThat's currently a ~100$€ premium over a build with 32gb of DDR5-6000 CL30, which isn't too bad.
There should be a substantial ram price increase coming in the second half of 2024 and in 2025, if those dram / nand market projections from a couple of months back are to be believed, although supposedly only a fraction will carry over to end consumers.
PC diy-ers are usually the amongst the first to get fucked when memory prices get juiced, so I might end up buying a kit as soon as we find out if Arrow Lake has a shot or not. If not, 32 or 64gb of the aforementioned DDR5 spec might get bought months in advance of the new build.
Can't believe how much the NVMEs are at the moment, so fucked off that I didn't pick up some last year
It would be silly to “upgrade” from a 3080Ti to a 4070 Super, wouldn’t it?
I’m only considering it for the sake of the power savings and DLSS 3.0. That and I can sell my 3080Ti to cover most of the cost.
