Not in my experience, although in their younger days (ages 1-3) they have bouts of energy but honestly nothing too different from other breeds of cat I've owned. They still sleep a tonne.

Sorry missed this. I would have to dig out the papers on Crumbs, but he was meant to be a purebred that was going to be like a show cat, only he ahd a tiny defect in the tip of his tail so they sold him to us as a kitten. Squeaks is almost definitely not purebred and I don't think we'd know what gen.
