finishing intergrade and going straight to rebirth really showed how good of an improvement the sequel is.
By Willkiller Go To PostFor the Balatro mad lads, Footy-gaf and Slaent alumni PrematureQuiche had the idea of seeing what people do on a seeded run with the blue deck on standard difficulty.
The seed is GOAL. Post your scores!
first run was a bust
It's a fun seed. Not sure this deck can go endless, spent all my gold in the last round to get a couple of planets because 300k was steep for me. Couldn't make enough spades to score straight flush consistently like you did. Missed out on the rocket early on, so had to go egg strat.
edit: yeah, final score: Ante 10, Round 23, 211k high score. RIP.

By Flutter Go To Postfinishing intergrade and going straight to rebirth really showed how good of an improvement the sequel is.You’re saying this gets better?! I’m at chapter 13 of Remake currently and I’m heavily considering a slim PS5 and a copy of Rebirth. Arrogant Sony have almost won me back.

Fuck me, Balatro is addictive
I'm not good though, struggle to get past ante 5.
Not really good at using the vouchers or the booster packs.

so they are definitely going to let whatever is left of respawn stop making Star Wars games and give us Titanfall 3. Right?

it is so fucking good. a few things that you can do, arent super obvious from the beginning. like you can move the jokers around... and even the order of the cards you play. that help a lot.

Every day is exactly the same.
Keighley has the largest microphone in this industry…
Does he? Really?
Sure, a tweet from Keighley wouldn’t stop the games industry layoffs, but it would shine a light on the sorry state the industry is in, rather than pretending “games are better than ever”. He could be reposting job openings and signal-boosting developers. As the most influential person in the industry, he could do something.
Yes, this is the opinion of a sane person.
People get laid off everyday B. Open your digital rolodex and make some calls. Stop feeling sorry and start feeling lucky you have a skill set that actually puts you ahead of most out of work people.

But also shouldn't video game devs not just get a real job?
You know I see what you mean Wooden. Get a real job to earn a real firing
In better news, you can play the entire FF7R2 in bikinis.

How important are the boosters to playing well? At the moment I feel like I'm waiting on chance for a good set of jokers
By JesalR Go To PostMoving the jokers around makes sense, but I'm not sure I understand why you'd move the deck cards. There are jokers that activate cards multiple times, for example, a joker that activates your first played card twice.
There are also other card effects that give +multi or Xmulti or other bonuses which maybe you want to activate first or last.

By C4-621 Go To PostSo what do you make of itIt was okay. There’s a lot you can nitpick but in my small sessions, I liked just riding around on my bike and shooting people/zombies. Not much thought needed to be put into playing as each mission was a recycle of the same 4 archetypes.
Maybe I’ll go back to Ninja Gaiden Black but game seems impossible to play in 15 minute spurts as that’s not enough time to make any real progress

Got bored of watching a playthrough of RE8, read the plot synopsis and sy'd my way through the cutscenes instead.
Admittedly the limit for my suspension of disbelief is all over the place in this franchise, but even considering that it looks like one of the worst stories I've ever seen. Where RE7 took something of a step back to basics to it's advantage, it seems like Village took an almighty swing in the opposite direction, to the point that basically nothing about it appeals to me.
Maybe if I played it I'd like it more, think I'd have stopped playing long before the end though.
