Trying to think which of their established ip are due a release in the next year,
GT, GoW, Horizon, Tlou, spider man all recent enough.
Definitely need some new blood in there though

That quote is cropped out of a much larger speech.
Thought you'd all be familiar with Mochi's antics by now.

Tomb Raider Remastered feels perfect on the Steam Deck.
Just finished the first level, I've missed the original TR games.

If PlayStation start releasing their single player games day and date on PC then that will eat into their console sales hard. So if they want to do that it would be smart to figure out a way to not rely on Steam, since with steam deck and whatever console like hw they have will become direct competition to PlayStation hw.
Would these games really suffer if they reduced their scope and focused more on delivering quality in a timely fashion?
PlayStation is doomed

Weird how they're talking about PS5 Pros and new Nintendo and I dont feel the desire for a new console at all
i'm honestly just waiting for Switch 2 at the moment.
it's my favorite device to play games on but everything runs terrible on it now so i'm stuck waiting to see if they get performance updates/ports before playing them.

They need to have exclusives to make the box worthwhile, not just units sold but build that sweet walled garden that keeps you subbed to plus and buying extra controllers and vr and headsets and portals etc
no way they are looking at xbox and thinking yep, thats the way to go.
CFO chatting CFO things - right now its a nothingburger but will spurn the console wars.
Ready for a PS5pro - Covid really warped things up and the industry lost 18- months to 2 years in production and choked supply chains.
a new ps6 seems pointless, the ps5 is barely just starting to get its own games and the games probably havent even begun to hit the limits of the tech in it
a new switch? yup that is sorely needed and the switch has shown its age for years now

By Laboured Go To PostFeels like with COVID this generation has barely got going.Feel the same, largely because of how underwhelmed I've been by GoW:R, Horizon:FW and Spiderman 2. Plus Naughty Dog have just been pissing about with failed projects and unnecessary remasters.
There's still 4 years of the gen left if we're going by standard.
The pro console just means more frames at higher res.

Itās certainly a bit crazy to think they have such a big userbase that spends so much money, buys so many games, they take 20 to 30% cut on all this shit, make you sub for online and cloud, and then their profit margins are so low likeā¦. What? Where is the money being spent?

High cost of BoM,
Foreign exchange
Acquisitions
High inflation which means high production costs especially for Devs based in California.
Also, the consumer is being squuezes with a high cost of living.
Everything is going up.

Concord dropping later in the year to push the Gaas strategy.
Still not seen what that looks like.

Yeah, I have been disappointed with Sony this gen tbh. PS4 was great but ever since the PS3 they have been on an arrogant streak and I play most of my games on Steam Deck now

Costs.
I mean, how much does it even cost to host all these games and from a bandwidth standpoint for example?
And production costs are insane and unlike say the movie industry, there's not a lot of room to get those numbers down. The talent is what it is. The only hail mary saving grace is probably A.I being leveraged more in the future.
nintendo dumps switch games info on twitter this week which means no direct even though they had one every february since 2019 which means SWITCH 2 INCOMING in march.
It's not just costs.
It's time. Games are taking much longer to make too.
That's an extra 2 years in a fev cycle. Imagine paying employees California salaries for that long. These are studio with hundreds of employees.
Reckon games need to shrink in length and scope.
The last GTA came out 12 years ago?

GoW Ragnarok had like 6-7 hours of gameplay you could've easily cut with no issues, and that is also not even counting all the million side quests I didn't do
