Playing Hivebusters and… they really need to completely overhaul the feel of the combat for the next Gears, this feels old af, 360 era feel to it really.
Also between Halo and Gears they really need to drop this “creating lobby” for single player, why is there a countdown?! It’s so absurd.
Yes I dropped Lies of P. No hate it’s just not for me, gave it a couple of hours and actually did good with the combat, didn’t find it hard at all. But there’s no winning me over with this style, it just doesn’t feel fun and there’s no point trying to force myself to enjoy it.

Hated the pointless open world format.I liked the Gears 5 campaign, but when I played it again, I just wanted there to be more to do. They didn't really want to commit to an open world and kind of sandwiched those empty sections with the big set pieces that the series is known for.

I'm sure Gears 6 will address a lot of that, though. They've been working on it for years now.

gears 5 bored the shit out of me anyway, couldn't even bother with finishing it after 2 levels. never even tried hivebusters even tho I have it
I struggled through Gears 5 and Hivebusters in co-op. Only thing that kept us going was roasting tf out of the game.

All these games that did it first all have one thing in common, they're terrible. Gears at least did it and also made decent game around it.

Gears 1 was great. Shame they went away from the setting because everyone complained that gen was all brown. Which it was, but fit Gears.
