Like I'm sure it's competent and reasonably polished. But it also looks like no one making it liked what they were doing, and were forced to make an Anthem + Sunset Overdrive hybrid with DCEU window dressing at gunpoint.

maybe it gets less important the better i get but in my low level play i hit them or get it fairly often.

Your standard vs. CPU modes. And addition to that, the Arcade Battle stuff, and the impressive GHOST mode which you can either play against your own "AI" character that literally does all the same shit you do or you can play against other ghosts of varying skill levels. The opportunity to learn from your mistakes and practice practice practice is there. OMG, I even forgot the replay review with suggest tips mechanic. If you save a ranked or quick match replay it will recommend stuff that you could have done in the match to come out better.
The game is robust.
