Not sure why anyone would refund this quality writing though
Don’t know which wrpg’s you’re talking about there mate because I don’t remember playing any that felt like they were written for Disney Junior.
By Hitch Go To PostPlaystation access has a video titled 'Dragon Age Veilguard is Bioware on top form'It's the best current Bioware can do I'm afraid.
I'm not having it.
By reilo Go To PostThis is what nearly all Western RPG character dialog feels like to menah. even bethesda isn't that mid these days
and going from bg3/pathfinder/rogue trader/pillars/etc to this - or even inquisition to this plainly sucks
stellar blade is objectively written better top to bottom lol

By Perfect Blue Go To PostOriginal Dragon Age worth playing? Xbox Series XI liked Origins on Nightmare, it was basically turn based.
Or maybe I was just bad lmao
By Perfect Blue Go To PostOriginal Dragon Age worth playing? Xbox Series XYou know, I've never played it on console. From what I heard back in the day, the gameplay was very different from its PC counterpart (it's the last PC-first game Bioware ever made) so it might have not aged well in this regard.
It's also a very lengthy game (100 hours easily), and the tone is a mix of edgy not-quite dark lord of the rings style fantasy with a bit of forgotten realms.
If this doesn't mean anything to you, then I would say yes. At least give one of the origin stories a shot and see how you like it. It's a game with purpose so it builds up on that.
Cheers lads, thank you. I’ll give it a go in the near future.
I bought the GOTY editions of Fallout 3 and NV and will play those after Metaphor.

I remember when serena got flack for doing this on the tennis court and now little johnny from the suburbs will be doing it.

If Dragon Age Veilguard has no bite, Starfield is practically gumless.
By Flutter Go To Postgood lord, Starfield was worse.starfield can give you a clear 'go explore, wing it' where all dragon age does is beat you over the head with cringe and babygame dialogue tho. the option to do something else and fuck around is legitimately underappreciated. even when it isn't constantly rewarded.

and for all the love the combat gets, it really doesn't even hold up that well when enemies focus you and your party is sharing cooldowns because why not

Game wise, at least DAV opens up after a while. Really like finding the secrets too; and they made that fun.
Meanwhile in Starfield, I gave up after doing the Pirate sidequest and just decided to finish up the main missions. Nothing felt worth it, and it was tiresome trying to keep up with every single resource mechanics the game has, from crafting to ammo.
I was gearing up to type out paragraphs of thoughts on what Starfield did right in terms of dialogue.
I will spare you all and play more Refantazio instead.

I disagree Starfield writing gets worse over time. Maybe Sarah does. If anything I think all storylines get more interesting (it's the gameplay that gets more repetitive), even the New Game+ integration into the main quest is quite a leap for Bethesda's usual writing, they just don't land because they mostly have cosmetic non-lasting consequences.
But I'm Vapesing out of there too. You can find me in the Starfield thread for further elaboration.

I swear upgrading to gigabit internet and taking advantage of local streaming is the biggest upgrade to my gaming set up.
Refantazio on the PS5, stream to the steam deck when I want portable play. Suspend/resume to pick up and play across both.
It’s all very cummy lads. Games and gaming has never been better

Couldn't get the wired DS5 and the ancient xbox 360 controller to work natively on the LG and left it at that. Need to get me one of the xbox one / series controllers.

Finished Silent Hill 2 Reinventato and well well well this turned out to be a very memorable game. It certainly picked up and did not let go, now maybe I'm a lil boy and that's fine because I nearly shat myself on a few occasions, but this game was scary af. Visually fantastic, sound design was just chefs kiss! It was tense but fun going around solving puzzles in this setting. Got the in water ending, apparently there are multiple endings but I don't know why I got this one.
Sad and relieved that it's over.

Slitterhead is not without its problems, but these are mostly relegated to the gameplay
