What were you eating? 🤔
Always curious about Euro Slaent and what yall eat, since it's probably healthier.

something ive never eaten before. dried pineapple half covered in chocolate. it's not great tbh, but had to try it
I will never play TLoU (either of them) because I do not mesh well with that kind of game. They would put me in moods I don't want to be in.
Never been a Dragon Age fan, always looked too garish, so this needed to be an absolute home run for me to consider. Doesn't sound like one.
You don't even control your party outside of picking abilities that all share a single cooldown. Sounds like liquid ass to play and listen to.

You’re aware that Britain and British cuisine is still apart of Europe, yes?
By inky Go To PostDid it end on a cliff hanger again?
They've said annual expansions, so I'm guessing one or two more, then they'll find a new angle for the Diablo IV 3.0 or whatever their revival will be once numbers start to suffer.
Yes another cliff hanger. In diablo 3 the expansions were additions to the story and not cliff hangers. With this, each expansion seems to be adding to the story that's not yet finished.
I like the new class and the new area is fun. Didn't like the story as much as the OG, but it was a decent progression to where it leaves off.
I played the base at release and throught the end game was trash. They've added quite a few things to make the endgame more rewarding IMO. Still not going to get sucked into an endless loop to compete for top 100 on the torment ladder pit challenges, but it's there to keep me around longer than my first pass.
i didn't buy the xpac, but i did play the game for the last 2-3 weeks and completed all the seasonal stuff with the exception of two challenges (salvage 100 pieces of ancestral gear and kill 10 world bosses).
that grind was definitely more fun than the game's launch grind.

By Hitch Go To PostExcuse me, I think you'll find that I fucking despise people who get invested in RPG romances, shippers and everything surrounding that sphere.
except for Tali
Can't watch at the moment, was skillups problem with TLOU2 that it disgraced the memory of the first game (red flag) or that it's so relentlessly bleak even compared to the first game (soft cunt)?
Something something about not being committed to the story and characters of the first, gameplay not good apparently didn’t improve over the first in any meaningful way, story is a mess, and there’s a 12 hour side quest that he wasn’t allowed to talk about and he didn’t like it either. He loved the story and characters of the first game.
Just a wild take overall.
I'm disappointed with the direction of D4 because I really like the theming of the XP and the new class Spiritborn seems right down my alley (and they'd only be overpowered during this XP too).
The main drawbacks for me were that it just felt like going back to D3 2.0, with stacking glyphs instead of gems, The Pit instead of Greater Rifts, and damage escalating obscenely into the billions which makes combat feel spammy and bombastic, yet less impactful. And I didn't feel paying $70 for it with other stuff coming up.
But since they are more committed to seasonal ladders and yearly expansions, it will always be an option out there. At least for a week or two.

I'm not too deep into endgame, but gems are still viable. Not every stat is worth it, but barrier gen seems to be huge.

Correct. Playing Diablo 3 again with a D4 skin just isn't the step forward I expected from the series.
I'm also oversimplifying tbf.

could be one of the goat steam deck games. unless it turns out to be an absolutely mess, i am in.
I played the demo ages ago and it was... fine I guess. The way you progress from board to board was neat, but also felt too mobile-like.
Not sure how I felt about omnidirectional cover either. Made it feel less strategic somehow, but it were some very basic, wave-based introductory missions.

Yeah I can see that ... duh ... lol. When I played I said to myself, wow they made a lot of endgame content similar to D3 (which I didn't think was bad by and large). There's more there though. Helltides, hordes, tree, zackarum etc etc. Pit was a good addition though IMO
Dragon Age mage combat seems pretty similar to Hogwarts the more I look at it. Even with the stuff about companions not having health bars or aggro, just being there for priming and detonating combos (don't have as much control as ME:A either).
The stuff about story choices being more limited, not really being able to go "renegade" and all the companions being a big happy, clumsy family are probably the biggest annoyances to take from reviews. At least it seems like their personal quests aren't completely worthless.
Seems a bit of a toothless sequel that doesn't do great following up on your previous choices, with some good spectacle.

I wasn't expecting DA to be great or anything just based on their recent track record. Maybe people should start lowering their expectations too lol the old Bioware is long long gone

By Patriotism Go To PostThat's the sound I made when I saw Dorian in DA:V.
I mean, yeah. It's 100% modern Bioware. Not enough to kill them, but -the only thing I care about- not enough to be hopeful about that new Mass Effect either 🥱
Was really big into Origins but dropped 2 and Inquisition after a few hours. And now looking at Veilguard feels like this series has some sort of personality disorder.
A distinct lack of emotional distance

Origins was great. Inquisition I enjoyed for about half of it, and forced myself to finish hoping it would get better.
DA:I was a disjointed mess that had just enough fresh ideas to keep me playing for a bit. but it really wasn't a good game.
NG+2 kinda wild in Bloodborne. Shadow of Yharnam had me out of sorts at first, they were getting attacks off that they never had chance to in the prior runs. Summoning big sneks wasn’t on my bingo card,
The whirligig still pulled through. Absolutely sublime weapon. Holding L2 and taking a boss to stun lock city is incredibly satisfying.

seems like a waste to use this service to release worse versions of games you can already buy on the system.
