TLoU2 remaster is very good so far.
While wondering around I am noticing that a lot of the lesser foliage are just low-res looking blobs of green. There's no texture on the leaves when you approach them. It's a minor thing but is jarring when up against these detailed character models with reflections in their hair and clothing and then you climb a ladder and there's a branch full of flat looking nothing. The tall grass and ferns you move through look fine. It's the vines on buildings and on some of these bigger trees that are appearing very bland. Though I'm not overly impressed with some of the visuals, it is a good, good looking game and the wooded and snow areas so far have been nice.
I'm playing on performance mode and have had some moments in Seattle where there is some very obvious slowdown. It's been subtle, but noticable, and it's only been in non-combat situations which seems odd. I suppose it's because of the vast area.
8 hours into it and yet it still kind of feels like I'm just out of the prologue too. That's not a complaint because I am having a good time. The most difficult thing to get used to has been the damn Duel Sense controller. I've been playing PS4 games for the past few months so the move to current gen stuff and the way the triggers operate take some adjusting. But it certainly adds positively to the experience.
