People got to be kidding with that traversal stutter issue. On PS5 it didn't bother me at all, I didnt even notice it because it doesnt have that skip frames effect, cause I can understand if people complain about that.

Characters repeating eachother for no reason other than to remind the player that they exist, and obvious plot turns that they take ages to catch up with are two of my pet peeves, and P5 is full of them. It's why I'm still struggling so much to get through Great Ace Attorney as well.

Its a pretty long game. Took me 218 months to beat.

The social link stuff was fine, it's the group conversations whenever the story moved forward even an inch that started to do my head in after a couple of the main dungeons. Think I got halfway through the 4th before dropping it.
For what its worth, the ending 3rd and final act does pick up the pace quite a bit. I got way more invested than I thought I would.

Also, the use of the headset to hear Starkweather's instructions and the mic to lure in enemies was pretty clever at the time. This rerelease from 2016 unfortunately didn't offer those features. But it was still mostly enjoyable because there really isn't anything else like it.

Part of the cat and mouse gameplay is that the ai is very poor, so it's understandable that they would try and add something different with the guns. It certainly does alter the pace and feel of the late game for the worse though. I'm sure on PC where you can free aim with a mouse it's a bit more bearable to deal with than the auto lock on with a controller.
Did you try 5-starring any of the levels? I could never handle not having the radar thingy, maybe that's easier to deal with when you have proper headphones or surround sound.
Used to enjoy just getting the three stars by figuring out how to make enough space for the red executions, could never be bothered with the time constraints either.

But the rest were too difficult given the time constraint requirement. I beat the last two missions on hardcore, unlocked the invincibility cheat and just blasted through the others for the platinum trophy. It took just over an hour.

PC struggle bois at it again
The performance is not good on PS5 mens. At all. There's a part many hours in that's basically a combat arena (lol?) and omg it was like going back to the PS3 era of devs not giving a shit about framerate. And that's in the 30fps mode. It can't even hold 30fps.
Frame rate this, stutter that. These UE5 remakes all look like fan made games that you see clips of on YouTube 🤷🏻♂️

You tried it on PC? Managed to get a locked 60fps (sans the stutters) without RT @1440p on an ancient 2070S. 30fps locked if I want to run everything max + RT lol.

I have not. Didn't expect to like it so much so was going to finish and resell but knowing how much I like it now I should have went PC. Oh well. Sub-30fps life isn't that bad. It's so much worse.
