By data Go To PostI'm sure someone at sony is thinking that but you try to bring Concord back it's going to be laughed out of the building
For 8 years, someone at Sony thought it would do numbers. Brother, all bets are off.

âLook at this rare variant that spells insert-random-word on the back. I only spent $1500 on it.â
I had no idea Concord even had a physical release lol

That Concord news is insane. People saying Sony didn't market it correctly... They've been shoving it down our throats for like a year now. Treating it like it's some huge triple A game. Just listen to the people when they tell you they don't want something.
And listen to them when they tell you they want Bloodborne 2.

Seems like Sonyâs marketing was non-existent.

Maybe they marketed it a lot on gaming news sites, I haven't seen it once on TV or non-gaming sites though. Haven't seen a State of Play live for a while now, so don't think I even heard about it between it's reveal and release. Feel like they knew it was going to flop, and were just hoping it wouldn't be quite this bad. When you're going through multiple betas for a ÂŁ40 game without anyone having any interest in playing or discussing it, you're fucked.
It's actually mental
Granted I haven't played it, but looking at it there's not a single thing you'd point to and say 'I can see where that time and money went, and why Sony bought the studio mid-development'

Someone at Sony really thought they had a cross-media franchise on their hands.
Finally had a chance to read the Diablo IV changes (cause I'm not downloading 130gb of PTR build to try it tomorrow), and they are changing fucking everything... balance, difficulty, progression. They keep revamping item affixes and aspects too. Like, it doesn't take a genius to notice the actual problem is: there's no compelling endgame, Blizzard.
People keep talking about how "Diablo IV is totally in a great spot right now" but wtf do they even mean? Yeah, it's so good they are basically redoing the core of the game... And not even taking it in a surprising new direction. New difficulty settings are just Diablo 3 torment tiers again. Power creep is already out of whack back to D3 levels 1000x multipliers barely a year in. Base items keep getting simpler, and nobody cares because everyone just puts the first Legendary item that drops on every slot without even reading what it does (because what it does does not fundamentally change how you play).
They got no fucking clue what they are doing and season retention numbers and build variety is in the gutter (because "skill trees" are basically "skill corridors" with no actual variety) to just go back to babby D3 mode in a panic. At least Paragon levels are shared across your characters now. At least they can correctly identify people aren't farming alt characters and just quitting day 3 after they've maxed level their main. Why? Because -repeat after me, Blizzard- there is no fucking compelling endgame.
Can't believe I paid $70 for this and was seconds away from paying another $70 for the expansion because I wanted that jaguar mount and to play as the cool aztec warrior monk. Thankfully...

A friend of mine who plays D4 religiously is raving about the endgame.
To which I reply: "You mean the same thing but on the highest difficulty?"
Let's hope PoE 2 hits it out of the park.
Last Epoch was better than D4 but I'm waiting for a season with some content to it. Anything is better than D4's: Same Enemy but different color glow mechanic though.

Who needs marketing for your indie game when you can do this. Phil is a genius
"You can ask Xbox why they haven't answered us for two months. Obviously they don't care about Enotria and they don't care about you," Greco writes in a Discord message. "The context is open a store page and submission, we've Xbox Series X/S versions ready but we can't proceed with submission and release, I spent a lot of money for porting and they decide to ignore us," the Jyamma Games CEO continues.
I can't imagine how hard it would be to work on something for 8 years, only to have it shut down in a month because nobody likes it, and then get made fun of on the internet.
That's why you never try! You can't get hurt if you never cared in the first place.

By Plasma Go To PostWonder if there are any Concord references in Astro Bot.
Had a dream where amongst other things, Sony unveiled the PS5 Pro and it looked like one of those biblically accurate angels. Be interesting to see whether they go for that.

I legit hadn't heard of it. I guess I saw the trailer at that reveal but completely forgotten.
Or maybe the marketing just blended in with the 10 others games that looks like it.

The switch is fine. But it's in the half way house. It's not quite a console but also moonlights as a handheld. Tons of ports of games that are better experienced elsewhere, unless it's an indie...even then.
The cube had a very unique identity and it had the technical power to service some quality gaming. Eternal Darkness, Starfox, windwaker, Mario sunshine, pikmin etc
